I agree 100%! Unfortunately a better quality product doesn't always equal to a better designed product. I'm stuck with other box modes because the Radius doesn't offer an easily replaceable battery or a descent size screen. The small Screen/Menu I could live with but the battery compartment...is a real shame because I also find Provari's to have a "smoother" vape.

I felt the same for a time. Changed out the stick battery for a 3000 mah AW and it gets me thru an entire day. 15 w @ 1.5 ohms with the boost on 2. Agreed that Provape made it easier to change the battery but not meant to do often.

Idiot is such a strong word no one has the right to call another; especially when it comes to vaping.
Those other mods helped you find what works for you....it's really just that simple.
And a ProVari doesn't work for everyone which is also fine- it's called moving on to what does.

Thanks ScandaLeX. :)

People (even ProVape) have said the battery was meant to be charge via usb but for many of us, thats not an option. Expecting all to charge it this was is not realistic. Swapping out the Radius batteries takes a few minutes. I'll go that route all day every day than have to wait 3-4 hrs it to charge inside the mod.
I'm almost certain that not everyone touting do it via usb does it via usb.

Count me as one of the vapocalypse folks. I smoked the coffin nails for 30+ years before switching to vapes, and live with a smoker. The only thing standing between me and a stinkie is my vape. The deeming is an imminent threat to that barrier, so I'm taking every precaution I can. Really cheeses me off too.

After 3 years of happily tootle puffing on just 3 Provis and matching old fashioned z-atties while finishing my bachelors degree and off ECF, BOOM the deeming happens. I bought a couple p2.5s, a few mech side-by-sides, and a boatload of cheap gennies, and still feel unprepared and panicky. The two in-transit Radii are the final, biggest investment in my future as a vaper, and I can't begin to find words for how much peace of mind that purchase bought, even though we'll be eating cat food for the next month. And it'll be worth the sacrifice. Meow.

I'm not buying any new mods- the ones I have all fell under wants rather than needs & even with the deeming, I dont need any more.

All the shopping folks are doing constantly reminds me of how people shop when there's a bad snow storm coming. It's only after they've bought up everything that the forecast changes & we don't get the snow at all.

I feel somewhere down the line, this storm will also pass.

You are an eloquent writer, ScandaLeX. I hope you are right about the 'storm'.

Me too. I stocked up but not overboard. Mostly NIC and 2.5's.

I would honestly be astonished if 100,000mg of NIC is still selling for anywhere near $40-100 in 2 years. That one I just can't see no matter what ANY government ultimately decides how to regulate/ban/tax eJuice.

The battery is designed to be recharged without removing it from the Radius, with the ability to change it when the battery's performance is reduced. It's not meant to be replaced on a daily basis.

And unfortunately that's what prevents me from getting a Radius. I have several box modes, VaporShark, SNDA75, both have super easy magnetic compartments, and both allow me to charge the battery. I rarely charge the battery from the USB port on those devices as it's easier to swap out another 18650. So easy in fact I can do it while walking without breaking a stride. It's the best of both words, I can swap an extra fully charged battery and if I'm really in a crunch, charge or vape while charging.

Really hope Provape improves the battery swapping in the Radius 2 (if and when it's released)

Both of those look good, although I'll probably go with the 1' version.
Thanks AAGF...this has been the talk of the day. Extras are good. Are they "heavy"?
the only thing I really did like about the springy thingy charge chord ProVape sends was that its "light".
My briefcase or my purse, or backpack, or luggage...what ever the heck are already heavy enough- but that's
one of those sexist jokes against my sex....I do tend to carry way too much already.
Cheers.

Hi All -

Quick question...I am looking for a good RTA to use with the Radius. I already have a Kayfun, but am looking for something different. I am after excellent flavor and something that looks good to compliment the Radius.

Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.
hey K888....are you already tired of all our :2c:??
Have you tried anyone elses Kabuki?
Illinois is the most awesome location for having everything at your fingertips (Driving distance)...
B&M shops to choose from, and vape fests to drive to..Im jealous!
How many tanks do you want?
I want MORE P3 connection ones (top fill ofcourse).
Cheers.

Oh Shoey...
Admittedly the radius had to grow on me.Im 180d opposite of you though- a tootle puffer, Im used to ProVari's long
metal cigar models.
However..dont you have a USB in the car? I drive so much- and the Radius is the car vape.
On board charging is one of the top 2 selling points for me.
btw...I bought extra batts about 3 months in (as back ups)-never thought about it until then.
I can change the batts so easily- imo better than P3. (I always end up unscrewing the tube sections).
I watch non Provari vapors change batts and try not to laugh- c'mon....the threads that go on, and on, and on...:vapor:
Until you come over to the other side (Provarnati)...you might not get it-I'm almost tempted to wager- after the Switch you wont go back to anything else ever again.

Yes, Illinois does have a ton of options, but was just hoping to test the waters with some other Radius users. One really good RTA is all I am trying to hunt down. :)

And...I do love my Kabuki!

You found it! C'mon..ProVape's ProVari lines cant be killed, no matter how hard you try.
So its upgradeable, firmware (if needed) you do yourself- and unless you need 200w clouds- it covers all the bases,
from Sub to 40...plenty.
As far as toppers...its a big world out there.
thats really up to you. Some are going to only use the P3 connection toppers- the rest of us will again have all the world
to choose from , the P3 tops (KayFun, Kabuki, etc) AND the 510 world...and (silly over kill-) even the eGo clearomizers.
Im hearing a "perfect match" here. U want 1 solid PV.
Get a radius, you're set.
Im sure the IL B&M's have ProVari reps- for you to go into the store and feel it, look at the colors, accessories and play with it.
its the other side of the planet moving over to ProVari's..cause you'll never need or want anything else- ever/
Go watch the reviews or videos, but still the real deal is better than "looking at it". 40W is a plentiful range imho.
Get it tomorrow.
Cheers.:toast:

Interesting read...thank you for sharing.

I am mostly a squonker, but I do own a Radius and prior to the Radius, always had at least one Provari in my collection. Why? Because in my experience, they are the most consistent and smoothest vape of any regulated device I have tried. And, I have tried more than I can count.

Additionally, Provape just builds a quality product. They have excellent customer service and while they are not high wattage devices, they have more than enough power for the majority of vapers.

While my Radius does not get daily use, when it does get put to work, I can say I am very, very happy with its performance.
:2c:If I had back all the $$ I wasted on earlier gear-before my first V2.5 tootle puffer ProVari..Id take every penny of it all and simply buy more ProVaris- dont need them- ones is fine.
btw...I've just been talking to their support again this week-no problems or breakages, Just "?s". can you find any other company that'll get right back to you, and answer a "?". ???????:toast:

Nothing wrong with that- either way the battery ends up inside the tube.
