Ya couldn't-a been remember anything I've said here, cuz I ain't-a been around these parts for some time...
But I did have somethin' to say on what yer speakin' on here:
I've been vaping since early-middle 2010.
I done seen it all. (Sarcasm)
And over that time, I've collected myself 10 Provari, a Mark Bugs WAEII, and a half dozen Billet Boxes (those all came home within the last two months cuz I kinda got bit by the BBox bug hard)...
Anywho...
I fully plan on ordering a 60W Radius (Maybe two, maybe more).
Why does this relate to your post?
Because I've tapered off to 0mg.
And I stepped off the Nic train in April 2014.
I started at 24mg, and then quit smoking completely. Not too long after, I fell in love with 16mg.
The problem with 16mg is that it quickly became an unpopular strength, for reasons only known to the powers that be.
So, rather than face another large drop, down to 12mg...I stepped back up to 18mg.
Eventually I worked down to 12mg, followed by 6mg.
When I hit 3mg, in late 2013, I finally had one night on the couch where I hadn't vaped in a few hours cuz I was distracted by other things. I picked up my tootler, took a puff, and about 5min later I felt the nicotine hit my heart.
Nothing bad happened, except I became consciously aware of the effect nicotine was having on my body. Faster heart rate, I felt a little cooler in temp, and I had the head rush us smokers/vapers know too well.
I didn't hate it, but it made me feel like maybe it was time to step off. So I tried. I dipped my toes in the 0mg waters...and I hated it. Back up to 3mg I went.
Come April 2014, I tried it again, and it stuck.
A couple of months later, I realized my all-day-vapes weren't tasting the same. That's when I learned about two critical parts of vaping.
1. Vaper's tongue. The loss of the ability to taste your favorite juices, usually overcome by a little as drinking some water, to brushing your teeth, and staved off by rotating a few juices regularly.
2. Nicotine adds a big part of the flavor, for many juices.
This was a double edged sword that threatened to kill my favorite hobby.
But I've overcome this by rotating through flavors and devices, and careful selection of flavors that work for me in 0mg. Not a single one of my current favorites came from my Nic days. They've all be curated from my current Nic-free vape style.
(Side note: Lately, I've been really into the JUUL. Yes it's got nicotine, and it's potent, but I only puff it a few times a day. It's not what keeps me vaping.)
