Okay, now that Rikk has come back alive ;) lemme show my last coil and wick.

Two false starts earlier today, then a third that lasted all day -- until TP on the Flask had to be raised to 490 F. Taste wasn't that bad, and, I needed the practice.

I separate the wick tails with my fingers. No esoterica for me. ;)

Looking good there... How many wraps and what gauge you using?

@jazzvapor is this your first Squape? What's ya think of that flavor? Awesome huh?

Indeed.

Had to move it to the SX 'cause TP (dna) was annoying. The build just posted: 7 wraps of tempered 28 awg on a 3 mm screwdriver. Still breaking in the wick. Used the joose I am most familiar with. Have that liquid also on the Flask. (Vapes on each...) Comment is premature, though I sense a "cleaner" vape on the SQ than the K4.

May the vaping gods forgive my blasphemy. :)

This build I'm using now is 9wraps of 29ga, and I try to get it deep in the well without touching the walls. I have the channels filled with cotton without compressing it.

Sometimes I need to start high(er) with my temp. Absolutely nothing wrong with that. Once the wicking action takes over I can usually drop my temp.

It took me a few days before I got completely comfortable building my Squape and wicking. But once you get it, it just happen on every build. And I build it a lot and not necessarily because I have to but because I enjoy it.

Don't give up on the 40 yet. It does take time and practice to get it just right. But like I said, once you do get it, you just get it. And don't be afraid to take that temp up on the 40. While you're learning crank it up to get a nice vape. And as you learn and your builds get better you'll be able to reduce your temp. Different builds will require different temps sometimes. Let your build determine your temp and work from there..

This guy is going to eat some dinner before it turns into breakfast....lol

As I said, it vaped beautifully all day -- nearly 12 hours. This liquid gunks heavily. And...I vape A LOT. So, I don't believe it to be the build. Though, I will consider there is a least some learning curve. Being a know-it-all is not my style. Quick study, yes; know it all, no.

BTW, I took my turn at fresh, homemade, ice cream. Hope you enjoyed your dinner-fest. :)

So I finished dinner and finally opened my SqR(s) to cleaner up and was surprised to see a package of Cotton Bacon Bits in my package. I was also surprised to see my serial number on my SqRs. It's higher than I imagined it would be. @Jazz what's yours?

But I'll tell you what, this is one sexy well made little tank. It feels so good in the hand and soooo solid. If it vapes like it's big brother (and I have no doubt that it will) then I think this is a must have in anyone's collection.

I knew you couldn't let it sit 'til tomorrow.

Yeah, I was surprised at the serial also having noticed a number in the 20's on YT; though that was likely the initial R. Perhaps they've done what musical instrument mf'gers do...just continue from where they let off. Mine is above 12K. And yes, bacon in my package too. Unlikely I will open that unless someone raves.

Go ahead, you have permission: coil/wick it, load that Powell you've been shouting about, give us a comparison, old to NEW. :)

I tried to keep out but I couldn't hehe. The cotton bacon thing must be VapeRev thing you think? I might give it a test vape (the cotton bacon stuff) to see what all the hoopla is. But I'm sure sold on good'ol KGD. That stuff is made for vapin.

^^^ Nope, it came with the Intaste too.

Well, lemme add. I've been using budget KGD, aka Muji. They are identical save the KGD is less dense but wider in both directions. I have a bunch of each.

When the SQs arrived I thought it was time to "revert" to the KGD. As I said they are essentially the same but need to be handled differently.

I just packed the cotton down alot and made sure no cotton is near the center hole.
so far so good. not taken it with me out and about yet as its still in testing phase.
:)

It's not a VapeRev thing, my SqRs came from intaste and had the cotton bacon bits too. I've been using cotton bacon for a long, long time and I love it.
In addition to the cotton, my SqRs came with a Stattqual Squape lanyard... You guys must be green with envy. :D:headbang:
