Haven't given in to my Rs craving (yet, anyway), but eager to hear your opinions about flavor?
Identical to the R? Better? Worse?
Since they say they've redesigned the chimney, and the height is shortened, I could imagine a bit of a difference :)
I was completely surprised by the height of the chimney. Last night I was thinking the chimneys would be interchangeable between my nano tank and the new SqRs. Boy was I wrong.

I'm just now getting home and I'm going to build both this afternoon, so I will soon see how it compares to my SqR. I think its going to be important, especially with nickel, that you keep the coil low in the deck so it doesn't hit the top of the chimney. The chimney cup is much shallower. I guess they had to make it shallower so the tank would hold more juice?

Definitely looks like you wanna keep the coil legs on top, and not do as I initially did when I got my first SQuape, with the coil ready for lift-off yeah :D
They certainly didn't leave a lot of room up in there for the deck. It's probably going to squish my bowtie wick flat :(

For the first time I'm going to run Kanthal in one of my Squape builds. I was going to run nickel in both, but I only have 2 DNA 40s and my Calix has been surprisingly awesome with nickel so I'm going to stick with that for awhile and use Kanthal for my other SqRs. I've been want to try Kanthal in my Squape for a while so this should be interesting to finally try it out.

I figured that's where the a room place without having seen the chimney yet. The mention of the nano chimney not being compatible was what tipped me off.

Well, if the bowtie is squished, that should just mean that much less of a risk of flooding due to liquid running underneath the wick, imo.
I've had nothing but kanthal in all 4 SQuapes, and they're all awesome. Of course I can't compare it to nickel, since I haven't tried, but I certainly don't feel like I'm missing any flavor, so you should be just fine :D

I so want an RS... correct me if i'm wrong. they come with the "W" deck? and you have to purchase additional decks separate? anyone tried the dual coil or dripper style deck yet? pretty sure I want the dripper deck ;)
I think due to popular request and demand, a couple vendors like VapeRev and Vapinart replace the S deck with the W deck. I think normally it's shipped with the S deck. Love love love the W deck!

Tuesday Mod + Squape eye candy

ProVari_Stealt_plus_Squape.jpg

That's a Stealth Military Edition P3 which features a triple-coated ceramic matte black finish. I love the feel of the Mod. Not so much with the Puff Counter in Firmware V38. /lol A narrow bore drp tip. A flavor chasers best friend.

Tempted for a Black SR but out of funds.

:)

How did this build work out for you? Any good?

Sent from my Passport using Tapatalk

As I said later in the thread it vaped beautifully for 12 hours.

That may not seem like a lot but it was only my 4th build of the SQRs. Built again a short while ago: 8 wraps 28 awg tempered on a 3 mm screwdriver. Vaping it between 18-20.5 joules. Good, but I'm aiming for great.

Only drawback of the tempered is that it is brittle. Gonna build several more before going back to annealed.

28 or 29 awg should be a good, predictable, starting point for you...I've used 30 gauge tempered from Stealth Vape but didn't like it. Just starting out you need to experiment to find your happy place. ;)

I want a pic!!!

Hehehe... How 'bout this? Lemme see who else got one. :D

It was in the envelope from intaste when I got my squape, but I didn't say anything last night, cause I thought everybody got one... I didn't buy this thing and most likely I won't ever use it, but the important thing is that I got it. :D

Ordered from Intaste, also received the lanyard. That makes "2".

just an update,
im back now and have been playing with my B deck.
I think i have fixed the issue of leaking notoriously.
I just packed the cotton down alot and made sure no cotton is near the center hole.
so far so good. not taken it with me out and about yet as its still in testing phase.
:)

btw the b deck is awesome!!!

Second the B deck! Works like a auto dripper! ;)

I used to run my P3s in 18650 mode but starting using the 350s and now I can't go back. Man that thing looks dangerous.....but gorgeous at the same time....lol
