It's like my squape is meant to sit on top of my dicodes 2380.

BTW, what is everybody's favorite juice in the Squape? I just got my Halo sampler pack and I have to say that I am really impressed. Prime 15 is awesome, and Torque 56 is a close second. Haven't tried the remaining 5 yet.
Phantasm vapors fire & ice. Still searching for another all day vape for my other one.

I haven't used spaced coils with Kanthal ever but I think I'm going to try. My spaced nickel builds perform so good that I would imagine Kanthal would preform similarly.

I mean I can chain vape the hell out of my nickel builds and they just keep going and going with no loss of vapor production. My compressed coils have a tendency to not wick as well if I start hitting them hard. I still get vapor and no dry hits, it's just I can really tell a difference in the way they wick after awhile. It's not bad, just not as good as my spaced builds seem to be.

I know I'm controlling the temperature with nickel and I know that's contributing but I'm thinking spaced coils just naturally wick better due to the extra space between the coils and that's got to help speed up the capillary action of the cotton right?

Am I talking out my .......I don't know but it all makes sense in my head. Any of you run spaced Kanthal builds? I've been using micro coils with Kanthal for so long I just never think about spacing those coils out. Thoughts?

You wouldn't be the first to come to that conclusion about spaced coils...another many believe is spaced coils don't gunk up as fast with those dark/thick juices.

Somehow needs to to an experiment on these.

I have used TC exclusively on the SQRs.

It did not take long to " nail" the build. The "secret" for me is less wick; less, and less, and less, and ... :)

amen to that. I refilled earl;ier and just nibbled the wick down by such a small amount and it is even better! Love this thing! It absolutely rocks with TI!!

The majority of my posts through this thread have been of my nickel builds. I absolutely love the SqRs with nickel. And just opposite of jazzvapor, I stuff my coil and use ample cotton in my builds. My coil ID is 3mm and I cut a strip of KGD that's about 5 to 6mm wide, strip the outer layers and stuff that baby full of fluffy cotton, and it's stuffed but not packed. Vapes like nothing else. I've posted many pictures throughout this thread that should be easy to find.

Love to see your builds and wicking technique.

I wanted to try Kanthal in my new Squape, so I did my normal Kayfun build, a compressed micro coil. I haven't been super happy with it. I've never done a spaced Kanthal build before tonight. I built my K4 and my Squape with spaced Kanthal builds. Loving it on my Squape. Reminds me of my nickel build. My K4 I'm not so sure. I'm thinking I prefer my micro coils in it. Right now it's really snap crackle pop.

I'll vape it for the entire day so I give it a fair shake. But in my Squape it's a no boner for sure. The squape in my opinion is made for spaced coils. It's quiet, warm, thick and flavorful.

I wasn't talking about cotton IN the coil, rather the TAILS. I use about the same width to stuff the coil. :)

Brainer, boner: sometimes it's hard :))) to tell one from the other...
