2 out of 4 changed so far, flavor and clouds are amazing. Now I just hope that I've got the cotton somewhat right, so they don't leak once levels are low. Expecting a bit of trial and error though, as usual.

Haven't really had dry hits like this - on the contrary, when I trim right at the edge, it has a tendency to leak when liquid level gets low :)

Already replaced the wick in the picture though, with one that's a bit thicker, as I was getting a bit of afterburn.

Ok, I've had the opposite, but I think my coil diameter is larger, so that would explain it.

Yeah, I use 3mm coil in my SqR and definitely trim to the edges after similar experience to you...and it works grrrrreat (there is no emoji of Tiny Tiger, or it would go here)

They are I'm guessing one for TP modes and one wider cotton deck.
They should be out soon i was told. I posted a few pages back.

Well I've been busy for the past few weeks trying to get my squape to finally work. I even got the CEO of statqualm to help.
He noticed my deck was slightly damaged which i thought wouldn't do anything. However I'm told it causes vacuum issues.
As the deck i want is sold out everywhere i had to go back to the one it came with, s deck.
I just can't get it to work with cotton (i know it's intended use is not for cotton, but it's all i have to work with).
Spent a lot on the squape already so i will wait for the new decks and purchase a new one then. In the mean time shall try getting this standard deck to work which unfortunately i just can't.

Anyone got any suggestions for the standard deck for cotton?
I may just send it to statqualm to get it checked out as it's so painful going from the best atty ever to the worst as no build works!

Sounds odd, didn't have any issues with my S decks and cotton. Coil raised just a bit, cotton about double the width of the coil, trimmed somewhat around the edges, with cotton filling the horizontal channels and the rest on top of the deck.

I'll post some pics to compare later too.
Don't forget my black aluminium top cap is kinda damaged near the threads on the outside, it's kinda dented as i used a plier to open it - posted a few pages back why. (even though i have swapped it over to the original silver one making no difference.)

You might wanna trim the wick a bit closer to the deck than I did in that pic - while I don't trim them just flush, I do trim them closer than that these days.
What problems are you experiencing to be exact? Dry hits? Leaking/gurgling? Something else?
All of them and also just no flavour. It just isn't working at all. It's paper weight :(

Sounds like something you need to return... But yeah, let's see some pics when you have the time for it, maybe there's something you're missing.
No no don't get me wrong, when it was working from beginning it was amazing. Always has been amazing.
Ever since i got my p3 I've been having issues. The p3 510connector got jammed (even though i tightened it up) on to the squape connector.
Wouldn't come off. Tried freezer and pliers and everything.
Eventually got it off. But there was damage to:
-p3 510 connector(few pounds to replace)
-squape base(got a new one from squape at a discount)
-w deck(20pounds)
-black aluminium alternative housing(60odd pounds)

So lost out a lot! Ever since then it's just not right at all. I thought the new base would solve everything. If you want to see pics go back a few pages it's all there.

Here are the pics for the s deck:

That's alright, I got high-seated coils working fine in the beginning. Hmm, how tight is that cotton when you pull on it? I fitted it, so it was somewhat tight - could just barely pull it out without screwing up the coil. That, and maybe shorten the wick just a bit, it seems to be traveling down the channels quite a bit, but could just be the picture. Apart from that, it looks pretty good to me.

It's ... cotton. It's not tight but not loose either. It has some resistance when pulling. I have the same on my kayfun 4 which works and wicks fine.
The cotton just hangs over slightly not too much. I shall cut it some more and try.

P.s. When i first got it i had the cotton drape all the way along the sides to the bottom with minimal dry hits and NO leaks what so ever. (w deck)
Was informed after it should be cut at the edge lol that caused me some dry hits and leakage.
Unsure though if it was the dings and what not and issues with the hard ware i have already.
Kinda sad tbh as i love this thing. Lost with out it.

Junny, I think you need to make a new wick that will block the top of the juice channels. LazyBulldogge posted a good pic on the first page of this thread. Try to trim the ends of the wick like he did. Note the bowtie shape of his wick (high shoulders) and how the wick extends just past the edge of the deck. When the chimney is slid over the deck, the ends of the wick will be right against the chimney with no space for excess juice to flow past. That's what I mean by blocking the top of the juice channel.

Ok let me have a look at his pic, will try and post back!
