@Rikk agreed! Although with my 510 pin there was no "right" spot. I guess I was one of the unlucky few with a loose thread on it.
The wire trick mentioned previously is still holding well though, since I did that I haven't had a single unstable reading.
Now my only "peeve" with the Squape is refilling with high VG juice, I'm not a syringe/needle tip guy (I love my unicorn bottles too much) so there's a bit of an art to not dripping excess juice into the chimney. lol

I really need to get me some of that Teflon wire for when my 510 pin finally decides to loosen up on me. Because if its stable it's good!

The squape sure handles the thick juices well, but trying to get it in there without a needle bottle or syringe would take patience I don't have.....lol.

Yeah I did, on the very first day they became available to order. lol
Black with SS buttons. When I ordered there was no other color, only the choice of stainless or brass buttons.

There's the option for a blue one now, I don't really trust it though, black / brass for me I think

Yeah I'm with ya, I need something smaller for my 'stealth' setup and was willing to forgo windows and use the nano, but from the specs the Rs will be the exact same size, so I guess that's that decision made.

I'm planning to use this as the mod XvoStick (shipping in 6-9 weeks) - Mini ECIG seems like the Rs should sit at a nice height with the 35mm deep atty hole
This mod actually looks pretty sweet! Wow, perfect for work.

What I'm finding the more I switch between my nano and SS tank is the SS tank seems to perform a little better. Not a lot, but enough I can tell a difference. But not a big enough difference that I would stop using my nano tank - because the nano tank is just too damn sexy.

I've swapped between the two many times and the difference seems to be the SS tank wicks better. Whenever I use my nano tank I need to up my temp a bit say 20 - 30 degrees to keep it from hitting TP. And it never flashes the TP warning as much as it reduces my wattage a bit as I get to the end of my hit. The vape is still very enjoyable and my wattage doesn't drop much - at the end of the hit it might drop a few watts, but my point is, that it does.

If I was using Kanthal I'd probably never notice a difference.

I'm trying to understand the difference. Do you all think the difference could be the size of the tank, maybe having that extra juice in the tank, the added weight, helps in the beginning. Once the wick breaks in and the capillary action gets going the difference gets less noticeable. But it's still there, just not as pronounced. The material of tanks wouldn't make a difference would it? I don't know what it is, but it's something. Anyone else notice something similar. I also noticed the same issue with my bell. But I don't use the bell often.

Are you using the same base? I've seen a few people on this thread mention that the positive pin makes a difference, so maybe your pins are adjusted differently on multiple bases? Just a thought... other than that I'd say your increased capacity theory seems the most likely. Unfortunately I don't have a nano tank, so I'm strictly theorizing here.

My SqR came with 2 replacement o-rings but it doesn't list the size. I was trying to figure out if there's even o-rings around the glass portion of the tank. It's hard to tell but I don't think so. Anybody know for sure? I wonder how you even replace the glass. Looks like it would be a ......

Looking at it I'm pretty confident its only the base that has 2 o-rings. When I bought the squape I ordered replacement parts at the same time. But sadly it doesn't give the dimensions of the o-rings or I would give them up.

I can tell you one o-ring is slightly smaller than the other. The smaller one fits around the deck and the larger around the base. If I was to guess I would say one is 22mm and the other is 21mm. Because the one fits perfectly inside the other.

I just checked the larger size against my K4 and they appear to be identical. If that's of any help.

The deck one is the oring I'm most interested in. I need to look it up, it's got to be listed somewhere.

Let us know if it isn't, I can have a crack at it with the calipers but it's gonna be tricky, shoot stattqualm an email would be the most certain way

The glass section is indeed replaceable and it's held in place and sealed with 2 o-rings. I've only tried removing it on a bad clone, and it was quite a hassle, but possible.
No idea about the exact sizes of any of the o-rings though :)

It's almost like you would need to break it to get it out. Nothing I'm ever looking forward to in changing that's for sure.
Yeah, pretty much the only reason you would take it out is if it's broken and you're replacing it. They sell a kit for replacing it too, comes with a block of wood used to shove it in place, lol

I can't say for certain that there are o-rings around the glass section, but the replacement glass sections come with two o-rings, so.. maybe?

Well I'm back and fourth on what I want to do or actually buy. I had my mind all made up I was going to buy, or at least try to buy the new Gem when it's released in the next couple weeks. But now that I know a smaller version of the Squape is being released I decided on that. Then I went back and took another look at the new Gem again and finally decided I don't know what the hell I'm going to decide.

The new Gem looks absolutely gorgeous but I think a smaller Squape with the nano tip is going to look pretty sexy too. And the Gem has a deck that looks very similar to the deck of the Squape so I would imagine it's going to perform quite well. And I already know I love the performance of the Squape.

But I've told myself I can only have one and I mean it damn it!

I have to get the GEM, it's part of the reason I picked up is WAE2, although the new Squape sounds like it will be awesome, it's just not a choice for me ;)

You'll get both, I know it....[emoji23] [emoji23] [emoji23] If I had the WAE2 it would be a no brainer for sure. And I don't know, I just read over on that thread that it's thought the base would be flared and sit flush on a 22mm device. Do you think that's true? If that's the case, that would be a check in the yes box for me.

The last build I put in was 2.5 id, 0.3 kathal and 8/9 wraps dual coil on the D deck, that came out to spot on 1 ohm. This time I put them down in the channels and found I was getting quite a strong throat hit, to much for me at least. Went back in and raised the coils up a little and it was spot on, always amazes me how such a small adjustment can make s a huge difference to the vape. I'm definitely needing to pay more attention to detail when doing my builds, and save myself some grief
