And please also answer, what is the idiot proof way to remove the W deck so I can try another, particularly the D?

I have not tried 'cause I'm concerned I'll break the W...
I removed my deck a few weeks ago and when I couldn't remove it by hand, all I did was wrap the deck with a towel, clamped it with my vice grips and popped it right off. It didn't damage the deck at all, but I adjusted the vice just tight enough to get a firm hold and that's all it took. I like the freezer idea though....next time.
Got the D deck on both my R and R(s) with a 1.0 ohm build running at 20 watts and I love the vape, haven't tried anything lower on a SQuape - yet at least
Awesome. I wondered if the D deck was any good. I've never heard it talked about here before. Now that I'm using Kanthal in one of my Squape's, I'd like to give the D deck a try.

I'm luving the vape from the SqRs. It vapes much warmer than my SqR.

Thanks! I think I will use the water solution. Just tried by hand: a no-go. Likely, though, I'll have to buy another Rs so I don't need to think about swapping decks. :big grin:

But, I have NAILED the coil/wicking. My mistake, if you can call it that, was using a 3 mm drill bit. That is where my building started (Kanthal). But for the last several months I've been using a 3 mm screw driver since that allows excellent compression of an Ni 200 coil. Pretty much can get ideal spacing with a minimum of effort So I went back to the screw driver which has the added advantage of better (if not perfect) centering of the coil.

9 wraps of 28 awg tempered perfection. I have been fine tuning the vape: lots of vapor even on the 2.2 air, and, all of the flavor notes. Sheesh!!

Got some 30 tempered coming in from LV on Monday that I think will take it up another notch.

I think you'll like 30. 30 has always hit my sweet spot and is my main go to.

I still need to find my sweet spot with Kanthal. I'm currently using 28ga 6 wraps ohming at 1.5 pushing 13 watts. I'm feeling like I need to push more power at it. But its hard on a provari using a 18350 battery. I might need to suck it up and put an extension ring on my provari and use a 18500. Then I could up my power. I just don't think I could go all the way up to a 18650 after only using 350s for a long while.

But using Kanthal in my Squape feels like it needs more power.

Ahhh, the nostalgia: of TUBES.

I loved tubes in 18500 mode with a Kick or Kick 2. Then there came the DNA 30 & 40. End of tubes, for me. I see gossip, rumor, and, beta testers, who can't hold their tongue(s) leaking about a new (tubular) Kick. I am on that like...instantly...as long as it's +20 watts. Out of hibernation come the tubes (Nemie, Stingray &etc). Otherwise, it's boxes for me. Desparately want a stab wood 350J but unwilling to wait on a list...

Around the time of your post, last night, I was doing some" window shopping".

Samovar, Dicodes: pass. Calix: in the basket :pervy: and out, twice. The GEM is just too enticing: next purchase! Still haven't decided to take the all black SX 350J out of the VA Wishlist, but getting close to click, "Send That Sucker To Me NOW"

Love my Calix and it's awesome with nickel. Was hell bent on getting the Gem, but when I saw the build deck being very similar to the Squape, I decided to stick with the tried and true and went with the SqRs. And I'm happy I did!

Just ordered...
Rs tank
D deck
B deck
Nano tip
From intaste. And it was cheaper shipped from there, than ordering from the U.S.
So you didn't get the whole package? What tank did you end up buying, SS or colored? I'm anxious to try the D deck.

Love the nano Squip tip, so sexy on the new tanks.

I mentioned this earlier but man does the Sqr(s) vape a lot warmer than its sibling, almost hot. I really like it though. I also mentioned this earlier but I bet @Phone Guy would absolutely love the temperature this thing vapes at. Both my builds - one nickel and one Kanthal both vape very warm at the same wattage as my other mod/tank setups do in comparison. Has anyone else here noticed the difference?

Yes, I got the stainless tank. I have a black aluminum full size tank that I have babied, and it still got a scratch. If I had bought the whole deal, I'd have been mod shopping too. One thing at a time.

InTaste FTW. Ordered from them twice and everything exceeded my expectations. AND, you get your stuff faster from Germany than with the awesome USPS.

On the same note, I feel like opening a USPS hate thread... Not only are they slow, but they are lazy also. I sat in front of my house once when I was expecting vape mail. I see two guys in the mail truck pass by, I go to my mailbox and see that they left a note that there was nobody available to sign for the package. This is pure laziness and nothing else, they just didn't feel like driving the extra 50 feet to my house and ringing a doorbell. [/rant]

BTW, what is everybody's favorite juice in the Squape?

I am reserving judgment on "the best" 'cause I have plenty to go through.

Pulled out dbliquid's BigTeaBacco after a very long steep (read, unused, stored in the medicine cabinet for four-five months). Fairly amazing given that I don't do tobaccos. Then went to Charlie Noble's Custard that was "steeped" for about a month. Delightful, don't want to put it down.

But a couple more tanks I need to return to my ADV, Cinnamon Girl from Stash-eliquid. Be awhile 'til I can get to the rest of Stash's line (PB&Jam, Suspicious Minds, Lushington), or, Charlie Noble's Blue Bay.

Just for the record: I am vaping the SQRs on the SX M Class at 23 joules, 410 F.

For me it's definitely warmer. I don't know if it's just in my head? I sort of doubt it, but I'm enjoying it immensely. Let others chime in first, before making your decision. OMG it's awesome so I say do it! [emoji12]
BTW, what is everybody's favorite juice in the Squape? I just got my Halo sampler pack and I have to say that I am really impressed. Prime 15 is awesome, and Torque 56 is a close second. Haven't tried the remaining 5 yet.
My favorite is POET Dolce Miele Cream - AMAZING!

I went back to my favorite setup on my Flask - words can't describe it

You've never heard of P. O. E. T. They have an incredible line but my favorite is definitely the Crema. It's a honey custard and the taste is undescribable. Someone recommended it on the Flask owners group and it's been my all day favorite ever since I vaped it. I buy it from VapeRev. YUMMY!
I've heard of POET, but I just wanted to know what the flavor was for the juice you named ;)

Definitely a must try I think. It's a custard but unlike any other custard I've ever tried. Rich, creamy, sweet but not overly sweet and the earthy honey taste is really hard to describe. Can't keep it out of my mouth, except when I vaping the Powell [emoji7]

@Rikk Seeking out the P.O.E.T you just mention. Is it the case they only sell 15 ml bottles? At 14 bucks that's a dollar/ml?

ETA I see VapeRev has 30 ml bottles. Also spent 37 minutes (I'll never get back:-x) watching PB's review of the line from last July.

I never watched his review of POET. But of the few juice reviews I've seen him do I can say I'm not the biggest fan. Much better job at hardware reviews I think.

Ya, I buy the 30ml bottles from VapeRev. The price seems to be in line with most other juices.
