I haven't had an "Oh Crap" moment yet. I'm sure it's coming though. My dad has dropped his out of his shirt pocket a few times, he cracked his new clear dual coil cartomizer the other day when that happened.

If it's an eGo:
This one came with my eGo-C and I don't even use it
eGo electronic cigarette carrying lanyard - black cloth
or
eGo electronic cigarette carrying lanyard - black leather

Dropped my week old Precise Plus 18500 onto asphalt. I bent the collar surrounding the fire button. Fire button wouldn't twist, so I couldn't lock it any more.

I was sick at ruining such a wonderful PV. Thank goodness I was able to send it back to SuperT for warranty repair. David got the collar bent back to its correct shape, and even refreshed the finish on the main body where my keys had scratched it. Now the damage is hardly noticeable.

Besides. Wounds heal. Chicks dig scars. Glory is forever.

I've got another one. I got a Kick for my P+. I didn't have any 18350 batteries, and God and everybody were all sold out. Vaporologist was kind enough to lend me three of his AW IMR 18350's. Thanks, V!

A few days ago I was transitioning from work to home and had two of his batteries in my pocket, along with my work keys. My pocket started getting extremely hot. I pulled out my keys, scorching my fingers in the process. I went to pull out the batteries, and one of them was too hot to touch. I had to turn my pocket inside out and sort of let the battery flop onto the floor, then I had to use a pot holder to pick the battery up and take it into my garage to toss into a metal bucket just in case it decided to get all explodey. (It didn't.)

So anyway, one of Vaporologist's batteries is now toast, and the second one has a melted scar on the side. The burn blisters on my fingertips have healed now though. :)

I told V about this battery mishap, who told me not to worry about replacing them. He's such a great guy. I don't think he uses 18350's much anyway, so I've got him a present ordered to make up for the batteries.

Moral: keep your batteries in an anti-static bag (or at least a sandwich bag if nothing else).

Not really an oh crap PV moment, but related. Warm nic juice soaks into a carto so much better than cold, doesn't it? And I dug out a new bottle today that was probably around 60F and pretty thick. So I'm looking around the kitchen and I'm wondering what I can do to warm it up and suddenly I catch sight of the microwave. Well, a few seconds would warm it up nicely, don't you think? And it did. And the bottle melted. And I'm holding a bottle that's burning my fingers and developing a dangerous bulge in the side and frantically trying to find another bottle to put it in before it pops and I get 15ml of precious juice all over my kitchen floor. I did find one and got the stuff poured into the new bottle just before the side gave way, but it was a very close thing. The last ml or so did wind up on the kitchen counter. I won't be using the microwave to heat up any more juice.

Yesterday I left my charger and second battery for my lavatube sitting on my desk when I left. My office is 35 miles away and with gas at 3.79, I decided to just use my ego batteries until Monday morning. That lasted about half an hour. Found out that someone that lives relatively close to me was still at the office and they were nice enough to gab it for me and meet so I could get it. Once I had it, I couldn't get the freshly charged battery in my lavatube quick enough!

Unless your plastic container is specifically made for microwaving don't microwave it, even for just a few seconds. Lots of plastics contain carcinogens and other nasty stuff that the microwave can release. I would count that juice a loss anyway, although to be fair it probably isn't as bad as what's in cigarettes.

While on vacation down on the coast and against my better judgement, I took my Sabre Touch to the pier to do a little Speckled Trout fishing. In one of those moments where you know it's a bad idea, but you do it anyway...I set the ST down on the rail of the pier while fishing. My actual thought was, "after this cast I'm gonna set that thing down on the floor."

Well as luck would have it, Mr Speckled Trout decided to hammer my lure right at that moment. A perfectly side-swept hook set sent the ST down to Davy Jones' locker. The trout was oversized, so I couldn't even keep it. Definitely an "Oh Crap!" moment.

So...make me feel better. Share your "Oh Crap!" moments regarding your PVs...PLEASE?!?

Oh man! Not the saber!

With my saber, it's taken falls from 15 feet to concrete and won the fight (actually cracked the concrete in our basement at one point). But the water.. I'm sure the water won that fight.

How can anything be oversized in Texas? Everything's bigger in Texas.

I tried to use that line on women when I moved from my home state (Texas) to NC. :)

This one didn't happen to me but, it's the best one I've seen on here:

A guy's battery went dead and he broke down and bought a pack of cigarettes to get by. After smoking one, he starts feeling his chest burning. He'd put the lit cigarette in his pocket.

I almost always have a spare set up with me for these kinds of incidents.

1. I dropped my Stealth on concrete 5+ times already... My pockets aren't the greatest..

I did that with my ProVari on Saturday, when I was going out to light the grill. It got a little scratch on the end cap, but my neighbor does nails and I borrowed one of her old manicure sponges. It's a piece of foam coated with super-fine grit, like finish sandpaper. Conforms to strange shapes, and it took the scratches right out.

Of course now I have a shiny spot on my satin-finish ProVari, but that's better than scratches.

So in the late spring through early fall the wife and I hit the drive in movies a lot. Well I had some car trouble one weekend and so we took hers. We have the same model car after all. Now a while back she had had an issue with the locks/windows buttons on her driver side door and we took that console apart and inadvertently lost the bottom of the little pocket where that's halfway up the door, and this was about 6 months before so I had completely spaced it. Well we are 1/2 way into the first movie of a triple-feature... I top off my carto and set the juice in the door pocket thinking we are in my car and all i hear is a faint "thump..." yeah... completely full 30ml bottle of juice... INSIDE the door. Sigh.... It was a long night considering I can drain a carto in 20 minutes hard vaping tops. Oh well, taught be to always have a backup of EVERYTHING. :D
