I love it when I've accumulated so much stuff that solutions come from out of left field.

I was having issues with my 5v pass-thrus burning up 2.5 ohm cartomizers. I was going thru them like nobody's business. So, I popped the lid on my PV supplies box and, what to my wondering eyes should appear but ten 5 ohm carto's. I had bought them to stack batteries in my maxi roughstack and vape at 7.4 volts. (That experiment used juice way to fast.)

These things rock at 5V! Rich, mellow, tasty vapor.

I recently snagged a lavatube and my plethora of carto's "left over" from experiments allowed me a smattering from 1.2 to 5.2 ohms. I found my favorite to be some older SmokTech Dual Coil XL 2.5 ohm cartos to be the favorite! I love it when the treasure chest pops out a gem!

One more reason to accumulate every possible piece of hardware. Some call it hoarding, but we vapers call it preparedness. Now I've gotta go - I need some of those shorty cartos... just in case! We're all just hobbyists here, right?

Guess what else I rediscovered?

My old atomizers from pre-cartomizer days. Popped on a dripper tip and went to dripping at 5 volts on my passthru. Sweeeeet.

The ST 2.5 or 2.8 seems to be the best at 5v for me...for nostalgia I pop on a cart once in a while...so much of a difference in the draw and the flavor.
