Oh no... I got a knockoff?!

I was really in a dry spell waiting for the juices from my regular vendor to come in, so in a pinch I went to my local smoke shop where they had a selection of LIQUA's. I'd never tried them before, but they were inexpensive so I went and bought one bottle of Strawberry, 9mg, for $6, give or take a few cents. I put it right in my tank and started vaping it and it wasn't good, wasn't bad... tasted really perfumy and artificial, though.

I got home and decided to look up the brand. The Liqua official website even tells you how to spot a knockoff. (Fake Liqua | Ritchy | EN) aaaand this is my disclaimer. If I'm not a very loyal customer of a brand, I don't care too much if it's a knockoff if the quality is good and it's a decent dupe at the VERY least. I'll go to the Philippines and buy a fake Louis Vuitton if it looks legit. Lol.

ANYWAY, I didn't think much of the fact that I probably got a knockoff Liqua because I was vaping it and it was fine, not good not bad, so I ignored it. Plus, I'd already paid for it and opened it, so I wasn't gonna ....*h about it. So I used it for a few days. I usually refill my tank when it reaches 1/4 til empty, just like my car. But one day I didn't carry any juice with me and I kept vaping until it was nearly empty and it was disgusting. It tasted nasty, burnt, gross... yuck. :grr: and I usually invert my CE4 to keep the wicks coated and such; I thought my wicks were getting dry, but EW! The juice at the bottom wasn't even really juice. It was more like disgusting, thick, syrupy, tar-like e-juice leftovers. Ick. :-x

Long story short I got a knockoff Liqua and I didn't really care but I should have because that ish was gross and it leaves syrupy gunk not just on your coils and wicks but AT THE BOTTOM OF YOUR FREAKING TANK.

I'm a brand name beezy from now on. No knockoffs anymore, ever. For juices, at least. Might still get fake Gucci's overseas though.

Might go unsaid about only trusting the name brand but there are stubborn bargain hunters like me who don't care if it's a knockoff. whoops.

I have the same problem as you omgwtfrina. The thing was that two days ago, I stumbled on LiQua's how-to spot a fake page and pretty much knew what to look for... except for my case...

... the fakes look and were packaged almost as good as the original. The how-to guide was basically useless, save for the mention of the nozzle which you can't see until you open it.

I'll be posting a thread about it with pictures for comparison soon.
