Hi mamu,
cr123 don't fit inside GG grant(lil bigger size then cr2).

I know true... was referring to the Transformer

I'm trying to decide if I should go with the Transformer with the cr123a batteries.

My Grant takes 2 cr2 3 volts 800 mAh batteries to get 6 volts.

The Transformer takes 2 cr123a 3 volts 800 mAh batteries to get 6 volts.

I'm wondering if there is a difference in performance with these battieres.

Mamu, in theory there should be no difference but the best answer is from somebody that has tried it.

Lol aww Caesar, I'll pm you the next he's on a Yes rampage:D

Mamu Caesar's definitely right, but wouldn't you rather use 18650??

As for the batteries I want to say that there is no need for cr123A. The reason is that they are 16mm in diameter and 35mm in length and they are 800 mah. The 17335 are better because they 1,5mm smaller but fater and 1000 mah.

So I will not make the trans 3mm bigger only for cr123A for 2 reasons:

1) They dont offer anything to existing power (we have 17335 witch give 25% more power)

2) No one has cr123A 3v, so no one will complain about "loosing" batteries if buys the GG.

ps....... we dont want just to have options for fun, we want to have the best options for best fun!!!

ps 2........ The option for cr123A lovers exists. You buy an adapter and you put what ever battery you want;);):D

I know nothing of batteries, but someone put this link for batteries for the SD. Which probably has no bearing at all to what you speak about, but he bought the £27.50 kit for the SD, and they are protected, although he says they are a little bigger than CR2.

The Photon Shop - LITHIUM RECHARGEABLE RCR123

Is SD change? These batteries are not for SD:)

Well I did say it had no bearing...

Its just a link where they may be able to get the right batteries, not saying these particular ones..

And its UK, which is handy for UK people.

I will just get mine from Tim as I havent a clue which is right and which is wrong, so will play safe..lol
