My new Provari arrived (yea!) and now the agony of waiting for the green light. (Of the battery to be charged)

super extra excited to use it with my new nautilus, because since using the nautilus on my k100 I haven't had an analogue, tried a few puffs from a friends and it was gross (well, more gross then I remembered and no where near as satisfying as the day before.

i do have a random question, if I try a new flavor (a caramel when I usually do a tobacco blend) do I need a new ohm head? I found with my top coil vivi nova that if I went back from caramel to the tobacco, it'd leave a residue so I had numerous tanks. Do I need to do that again?

thanks,
veronica

I like to have several tanks filled with my favorite flavors ready to go but you can just rinse it out hot water between tanks. I use a set of tweezers and let the water get really hot and rinse it for about 20 seconds and blow it out and then repeat the process.

The vapor will be kinda thin for a minute or 2 but it clears up fast.

There is no way to get all of a flavor out of a coil when you change flavors. You can wash the tank but wicks generally do not take all that kindly to washing. For best results wash it and let it dry completely for a day or two.

A better way is to have a wick for each flavor and an even better way is to have a separate atty for each. Over time I acquired a bunch of attys looking for the perfect one, I have decided it does not exist. I have some that I use only for testing new flavors. If I like it I move it up to an atty I like and if I really do not like it I don't even finish the bottle.

The other thing you can do is clean the rest of the atty and just reuse the wick. You might get some horrible mixes at the start but the new flavor will gradually wipe out the old.

Good luck with the Provari and most important have fun.

No, you do not need a new coil. You can just add the caramel juice to your tank once it is empty. Or you may want to rinse out the tank and coil before adding the new juice. However desert and sweet juice tends to "gunk" up a coil so you may need to rinse everything and "dry burn" your coil before going to the next flavor. Dry burning your coil prolongs the life of the coil.

I only change my coil when it no longer is working. And even then, I don't throw them away. They can be rebuilt. Even if you are not yet interested in rebuilding yours, you may at some point change your mind. So I would save them, just in case.

I am another one who uses several atties. I also keep several coils that I have let soak in Vodka overnight, then dried. That generally gets any residual flavor out of the wicks, plus cleans them too. If I want to try something new I wash out a tank and stick in a coil. The coil I take out goes into vodka for the night to get ready for the next new experience.

Welcome and enjoy!
