I have searched through the forum trying to find an answer but with no luck. I currently use the G6 mini tanks with my Tritan batteries. All is well and works great. I thought about buying a Tritan tank to try but not sure what OHMs they are either. Can someone please tell me what the standard OHM ratings are for the G6 and the Tritan tanks. If I purchase a tank, I think I would like to also order a package of the higher OHM coils as replacements. I currently use Mystic and wonder if changing the OHMs to a higher one would change the flavor and which OHM rating would be the best to use for this juice. Any answers would be greatly appreciated. I just don't want to spend the money til I know which option is best.

I think the the standard coils in the regular Triton tanks are 2.2-2.4. They sell higher ohm coils for the vv batteries if you want them. However, you can't fit a regular tank on a G6 - only the mini tanks.

Not sure if you were asking, though, what the ohm rating is on the G6 tanks? Probably the same, but I can check tomorrow.

From your post I'll assume you bought a Triton battery but no tanks, and you use the mini tanks on them. Cause as Amanda said, a G6 bat won't work a Triton Tank.

Having said that, I whipped out my trusty multitester. Minitanks (which only come in one resistance) measures 2.3~2.4ohms. The 2 halo prefilled cartos were a touch higher, and my Triton tanks lower, 2.2

But these are not equivalents. It's like 60mph in a jet, in a car, or on a sled! Same speed, but very different feel.

The minis feel hotter. The same juice that does great in the triton seems to almost burn in the mini, comparatively. Despite the resistance being higher in the mini. (higher resistance = cooler vape, lower resistance is hotter vape, given the same tank!)

I think Mystic with a standard tank will be just fine. In fact, almost every Halo juice is good on standard coils (2.2) except Belgian, which I like a bit cooler.

But we all have different tastes.

If I'm in your shoes, I'd buy a Triton tank or 2. The difference will amaze you, the triton tank give one of the best vapes of any topper. You might love Mystic in the standard.

But guessing on which coil to go to might get iffy. I mean, 12.50 a pack of five (and you can't mix and match)(Hey Cinder, that would be cool, a 5 pack of each different resistance coils!!!)

I would save up and get a Variable Volt Triton Battery. Then I run the standard coil, and can dial it from cold little vape all the way up to Whoa!! too much! Burning!!

Hope this answered it all.

Thank you for the answers and yes DaveOno you are correct on what I'm using. I ordered the Tritan kit to begin with and did not like the tanks and gave them away. I can't remember exactly why I didn't like them but I'm thinking it may have been the flavor was different in them than it was in the mini's (reason for wanting a different OHM). So with your very helpful information, I believe I will order a couple of tanks and order the coils a rating higher. That way I will have 2 standard and a pack of higher, so I will be able to find my preference. Thank you again for the help and also for the OHM's on the prefilled cartos. I love the flavor in the cartos but they are a pain and I have gotten spoiled with being able to see my juice levels and ease of tanks. So I think I will try the 2.4-2.6 and see what happens.

I got my tritan tanks in and well I don't like them lol. I mean the flavor in the standard and the high ohm is great but I can't get past the airy draw on the tank. The mini's have a much tighter draw and I prefer that. I did set my mom up with some mini's and she thinks the draw is to tight, so I will give her the tanks and see how she likes them. I also don't like just how big the Tritan tanks are, they just seem really bulky to me. Who knows maybe one day Halo will come out with a tank that is a size in the middle and it will be perfect for me. I do appreciate the answers and help though.

Hey DaveOno! Is there a way to find out how many watts your getting out of the triton?

Simple... Take the voltage, square that and divide that by the coil ohms.
If the voltage is 3.7 volts, and coil is 2.4 ohms, that would be 5.7 watts. If those are the numbers.

Edit:
Wait, the Triton in (on a review I just saw) is 4.3V. That that results in 7.7 watts for a 2.4 ohm coil..

The standard non vv Triton batteries are non regulated. This means as they are used the voltage will diminish. Fresh off the charger they are @ 4.2 volts and have a fairly quick ramp down to 3.8-3.7 volts where they will stay for most of the charge. Then they will start a ramp down to 3.3 volts where they will flash the light on the button to say no more vaping with me until you feed me. You'll notice the ramp down as the vape gets cooler until the cutoff.

watts = volts squared/ohms so 3.7*3.7/2.4=5.7 for the biggest part of a battery charge...

BigBen has posted a graph of a Triton battery output on several threads here. I know I should have downloaded and saved those...

So what you do is place a finger over one of the holes at the base of the tank and you have instant tight draw. If that works for you place a piece of tape over one of the holes and use it as a way of marking your tanks so you can remember what juice you put in the tank...

Ok, big update here. I covered one of the holes and waaalaaaa it's the perfect draw now. So major edit to my previous post, I love this thing now. I can deal with it being bigger, the pros out weigh that one con. So now that I really love these tanks, I called my mom to see how she liked it and well she loves it, so I guess I'm going to have to make another order to replace the one I gave her. As far as the OHM's I do prefer the standard and mom prefers the 2.6-2.8. So the pack of 5 I bought at 2.6-2.8 will be going to mom and when I order her more tanks, I will replace her standard coils with those. Anyhow just wanted to share in case anyone else had my same first initial thoughts because I have definitely changed my mind and will be using my Triton with the Triton tanks.
