Ohm's going down...

I've noticed the past couple of days that when I check the ohms on my carto that when I first start using thrm(when they are new) they start out at 2.2....and after about a solid day of using they go down anywhere from .2-.5 ohms and hover around 1.7-1.8 ohms for the duration of its life...it does the same with higher resistance cartos as well....I am running in short mode w/18350 battery.....when the batteries were stacked I didn't seem to notice much of a change in readings, and have yet to go back to stacked and check...


So do cartos have like a "break-in" time or is it because the batteries are getting weaker as they lose volts or what? The vamo is still performing perfect so I'm hoping that it isn't a bad Vamo or anything?

Ok - just put in a fully-charged battery(18350), and it reads the same (1.7) that the battery that just died read....but when I first put the new carto in my tank it around wednesday night 7pm, it was 2.2 (and it does this with my other tanks that I use as well, LR or SR)

Cartos will do that. It's the very thin wire they use "breaking in" if you will.

BUT, with your Vamo the ohm fluctuation really doesn't matter since it has variable power - as the carto "breaks in", your Vamo will adjust the voltage in the background to maintain the same wattage at the carto. One of the big selling points of variable power (wattage) devices.
