Hello everyone. I was reading a few posts and I noticed that a lot of people tend to mix up some stuff when figuring out their amps and resistance. I figured I would write this out on my board and post it for posterity.

No worries God is definitely an iron though sometimes

Haha, yeah, regulated mods don't let you, at least ideally.

The smaug comes to mind as a mod without reverse polarity protection.

But for mechs, that's extremely important.

It's one thing to know how to find a calculator, but in my opinion it's something that is important to understand is all.
I grasp it but I have no desire to learn the math equations. Im way more concerned about matching my lipstick to my heels when I go out its all a matter of priority's : )

I shouldn't derail but its so much fun lol but we could use OHMs law to figure out what resistance coil is needed to safely melt wax for chest hair removal.

Wax melts at 150° F.

It wouldn't take much. Probably not a good application for your vape, but if you take a look at wax burners, like for the scent, it uses a lightbulb, lol. :)

Keep in mind that this is most important for mech mods. Regulated mods have 2 sides strictly separated by the regulator board, the atty/coil side and the battery side. To choose the right batteries for a regulated mod you have to calculate on the battery side, you don't need Ohm's law for that, it only directly applies to the atty/coil side (the regulator circuit will have to deal with it on both sides but you don't have any insight on how exactly it deals with the battery side).
Just throwing that in to paint a more complete picture (I know you saw the link already but some others may not have)
Calculating battery current draw for a regulated mod | E-Cigarette Forum

I'd encourage everyone to be able to calculate everything we do by hand, be it liquid mixing, choosing the right batteries or coil building, it's really not that hard and it certainly isn't "maths". Mathematics is science, simple calculations is just smashing numbers together until the right result falls out, you'd probably be surprised at how different those are.
Yes, there's online calculators, but when you're not able to verify what they spit out then you're just hoping for the best...

Better an ohms law calculator than nothing, although yes, I don't much care for math myself, although "vaping math" is different, LOL. If all the SAT questions had been vape related, I would have gotten a perfect score, apparently.

Better an Ohm's law calculator and shoes and lipstick to match the mod, and a well-waxed chest, also.

By the way, whoever made that comment about the pain of the hair coming in has only ever shaved, not waxed. Waxing is great as a) no way to cut yourself b) the hair that comes in is finer, doesn't have a "sharp" edge, and doesn't hurt or itch when it grows in and c) waxing lasts longer, and the more you do it, the finer the hair grows in, since you are basically plucking it out by its roots.

I have experience with waxing, LOL. HATE razors, hate them so very, very much. LOL.
