Hello, I recently bought an ohms meter and as the coil heats up the resistance gets higher...
Is this normal? never used one before so never noticed it.
Thank you.

*such as* copper. All normal conducting metals which current carrying wires are made of display the behavior the OP described which is expressed by the temperature coefficient of the metal.Don't have any idea what copper wire has to do with the OP's question just thought I might mention never use copper wire to make Vaping Coils.

I gave no advice to anyone, actually. It would be prudent to actually read what a person typed and linked before criticizing. It would be prudent to make sure you note NOT to use copper when trying to give advise to new members.

I also left out that one shouldn't use dental floss and human hairs because I never made any assertions about what would make a good/bad material for making coils. No one ever asked that question. Not criticizing just making note that copper should not be used for coils. You sort of left that part out.
Short answer: yes...
So... is it suppose to be doing this or? kinda got off topic |![]()
