AS long as Shawn has SOMETING I can safely use to STORE my new PV, atty & batteries in...I'm SOLD LOL!

I'll be happy to PAY for it!

I do a LOT of motorcycle riding and would hate to have my pv get buried in one of my saddlebags. A nice flat carry case in my micro tank bag would do nicely....and perhaps another good reason NOT to buy the DSE601 right now

Any suggestions on WHICH kit I should buy?

The VX2-M OR the M-801 dual kit?

Duly noted. Keep in mind that I don't mind carrying 3 or 4 batteries. My bike already runs some accys off the small elecrical system (GPS with a home-brewed voltage regulator system & harness, + additional lighting, etc) so I don't want to parallel anything more to be charging right now!! Shawn just emailed me and said the stainless M401's would be back in stock on the new site today. I'll certainly look at the 510...but now that the M401 is back in the picture, I have THREE viable choices; VX2, M401 & the 510.

Is that an old Colt AR series rifle in the pic? Perhaps even a CAR-15???? I've not fired one of those in ages...both good weapons though. I once had a 1st Sgt who let me fire his Chinese copy of an AK-47...that was also very enlightening on the range...

Robert, the VX2 has a PCC as well... which is the same size (roughly) as a pack of cigs. It allows you to charge 1 bat, with a second resting happily beside it. The 510 case is much smaller however, but does allow the same battery wise, just not as much room for extra carts. My buddy has a 510, I've used it a few times.. would much rather have my VX2. Its draw seems to take a little less effort than the 510, but that might be just me.

I stand corrected.

Also I just saw the PCC for the VX2. I didn't know they had one!

well the vx2 is probly good- I can't compare. It only has 1 atomizer though? I get a spare. If yopu decide to quit smoking all this stuff has to work nearly perfect for you to make the switch. Get an extra atomizer- you need backups.

I've found the PCC is a must for me.

Doc I ride too and if you ride you want to get the vx2 manual because of the wind.
you can actaully smoke the vx2 going down the road because it is manual.
Manual batterys is the only way to go for you,you can pull it out of your pocket, you dont have to light it and just push the button and get a hit.Bikers that smoke will hate you. Nthstar

the vx2 isnt a 901 the atomizer is totally different design and function then any 901 atomizer :)

The end objective of all atomizers would appear to be quite one and the same. The methodology of getting the job done may differ, but the same end result. Much like comparing a four cycle piston engine with a rotary (****el) engine. They both end up transmitting torque & HP via an output crankshaft. I like the apexed atomizer design on the VX2...it would seem to be an efficient way to heat the juice...as long as the mating tip positioning is CONSISTENT in that whole "puncture" process. I'm presently leaning very strongly toward the VX2-M kit at this point, but I should probably still compare the overall features and performance with that of the M401 & 510 series PV kits.

Between the wind and the bike noise the auto batterys will discharge on their own and
will not work.

I run an OLD SCHOOL 4-into-1 Kerker megaphone HEADER on my bike, heavily re-jetted with 4 pod filters. Noise is imminent!

Think I'd better get the VX2-M kit...PLUS the passthrough kit with spare atty. It will give me the benefit of being able to charge all my batteries while using the VX-2 on USB/WALL WART adapter power when I get home. Most folks tend to forget that EACH parallel USB feeder on any PC can only be relied upon for 500mA continuous, due to the tiny harness wire gauge being ONLY about 22-24 AWG. It is better to run a 110vac wall wart/USB charge ADAPTER than the actual USB port on a PC for charging purposes. The current will be better on the wall wart adapter....ESPECIALLY if you are like me...ALWAYS plugging in cameras, MP3 players, external USB drives, pen drives, etc.

I use a good matching set of luggage on my old bike. Matching pair of Black Nelson-Riggs saddlebags and a great matching "micro tank bag" (magnetic mount). I'll bet if I store an automatic battery inside a nice well insulated pouch, stored INSIDE THE TANK BAG, it may not get energized on smooth rural routes. It will be an interesting test indeed....and I AM going to pull that VX2 out of my pocket with the manual BATT and bust some ... with it while riding. They'll ALL see me puffing away without fumbling for a light at the stop lights. I'll be sure to rub it in too LOL

I used to use one of those rocket flame butane lighters. I could go down the road at 65
and light up! but after a while, the lighters would break but now that I dont smoke
(for 3 months) and am very happy now, I just push the manual button that Shawn
provided me and I am always happy,no matter what speed it is...Vape to Ride,
Ride to Vape!

Thats the way to go Doc. You can also get a PCC charger and drill the charging hole
bigger and charge your manual batts ( I use 3 in rotation.one your using, one in the charging hole and one in the spare hole upside down) and your good for a day of anything.

What exactly does the acronym PCC mean?

My guess is that it means something like Personal Charging Case…or….Portable Charging Case….or….Personal Cigarette Charger.

Seems to me it would be very easy to make a really nice one that can charge 2 or more batts simultaneously if I had some of the connectors that actually thread onto the battery....AND ample current supply for the parallel charging. I recently made up such an electronic regulator (5VDC @ 1.5A max in this case) on my motorcycle for my GPS and I love it. Has it's own little (fully isolated & insulated) aluminum heat sink mounted to the frame, just next to the I.C. igniter and stock Kawasaki rectifier/voltage regulator module.

Get the VX2 with the PCC- Hell I want one after this!

Colt AR- No
Car 15- No

it's better- you can shoot people with it and have no PTSD

Airsoft- Classic Army (Some AR15 Version) Shoots 6mm plastic bb's .20 gr. @ 420 ft per sec.

Live round or not, I'll bet that stings like HELL!!!!
