Hello All,

Just got my 510 kit yesterday.

Works well but I want to find something more powerful. I realize that finding what works for me will be a process, and there is no simple answer. I have cartamizers on order for the 510, but I want to test different systems as well.

Would a 801, or 801 high power be a good next system to try? I'm looking for more vape, airflow, and maybe a bit of warmth to the vape.

I've only tried the kr808, but it satisfies me. I'm not sure other people like these but I use LR carts (2 ohm) soft-tip from LiteCig. I get a warm, full hit in like 2-3 seconds, and am not going at it like a straw for 10 seconds. If you try these, that is the only place I know to order them, though there has to be others (they are Boge brand). If you do go there I suggest the RWHY4 liquid (not Dekang RY4) and maybe the Gypsy Toast from High Calibur if you want to try a dessert-type flavor.

But anyhow, there are probably better high voltage or more expensive alternatives, but I would try kr8 + LR for a starter kit.

Hello BigLou, I am no expert on the subject but I see this kind of posting a lot. I am interested in what others think, but here is my feedback. There is no Holy Grail of e-cig. There will always be the next best thing or the one that vapes just a little better. If you go on this quest it will cost a ton of money.

My first mistake when starting out was to buy a retail e-cig. It was a fifty-one from a local tobacco shop. It was AWESOME, but the battery life sucks. I spent weeks reading and researching before upgrading. Well it was not an upgrade as this was an entirely different e-cig.

The only thing I can say for sure is go slow and do your homework as all e-cigs are different and will provide a different experience.

I have tried a few different types of e-cigs I have found that the DSE905 with the 14500 900MaH rechargeable battery's 3.7 volts works very well with the 510 atomizers and cartomizers I also use a 510 battery connection to 801 atomizer adapter so I can use my 801 atomizers on it and works very well. If you go to Breezesmokes.com Don there carries allot of the high end e-cigs. My wife has the VGO900 and it also is a 3.7 volt and works the same as the DSE905.

Thanks all.

"The search for the "one" and the "all day vape" is half the fun. But yeah, gets expensive"

I'm replacing a nearly $1k/month cigar habit! Fact is that I would rather smoke real cigars but I don't want to spend that kind of money anymore. I would rather get into vaping than smoke cheap cigars. I figure that I would save $850 to $900/month.

Since you're already a 510 user you should probably know that the great majority of mods available are made for the 510 system. So you're already off to a good start. The quick solution is to try some low resistance cartomizers like the boge 2ohm soft tip kind. You might also consider upping your nic level if you're looking for more throat hit.

Otherwise what you're talking about pretty much sums up high voltage devices. So you might consider looking into those. 5v or 6v.

one word-eGo!

Ditto that! Get a couple of eGo types. Find your juice preferences, (VG/PG ratio, VG=more vapor, PG= more TH and Flavor. Nic strength). Then play around with different atty's, etc.

At least this has been my plan since I started the eCig journey.

um..ego isn't going to change the overall 510 experience...its just a bigger battery.
You can however run lr carto's and attys on an ego much longer than a standard size 510 so in that respect it DOES open the door to 2.0 cartos...and if you have a large enough mah cisco 306 attys and the like

I must say I am really enjoying these 2.0 ohm cartomizers from boge..delivers a warmer vape and as a cartomizer still has a good amount of flavor left over.

I own a KR808D-1 kit from vapor4life.com and an eGo kit from litecigusa.net. I bought the KR808 first, and after a couple of months I wanted to try dripping, so I got the eGo. I liked dripping, but I use my KR808 WAY more. It's a real nice kit, and if you get some WOW carto's and some WOW juice from V4L it may be what you're looking for. Since you were able to spend a grand a month on stogies I'm sure you'll find their prices pretty reasonable. I got the 'Ultimate Ultimatum' kit for a little over $80, it's got everything you'll need, and they treat their customers very, very well. You can also get KR808D-1 starter kits much cheaper, which would probably be smarter than just jumping right in with the UU kit like I did. I got lucky and loved it. Plenty of nice, warm vapor. Good luck and welcome to our world!

I'm also new at this, but will say I wouldn't personally ever mess with the whole dripping process everytime I wanted to vape.
Likewise, even though I appreciate it, I won't be doing mods that look like some science experiment. I want my E-cig to look and act like the real thing. It has to emulate what I am giving up.

I use the KR808D-1 and am happy with it's fluid capacity. Went to Johnson Creek VG, and the vapor is heavy enough to match real cigs. As long as I get the same feel. action, and a good flavor, I'm good.

spend the coin on a GGTS. It can use 510 & 801 w/o the need for adapters and comes w/ a 901 adapter as well. It can run most any battery from rcr123's up to & including 18650's capable of 3.7v (single cell), 6v (2x's 3v's), 7.4v (using 2x's 3.7v). It's 100% mechanical (no solder, wires or circuitry to fail). Many upgrades available, fuse protection, opposing magnetic switch, AVS auto juice feed system. I own several and can say you wouldn't be disappointed and if for some reason were, they can easily be sold for what you paid for them. :)

Good for you - in a few months you can go on a nice expensive vacation and you will still be ahead on money
