What the heck do you do with a Chuck? How do you use it?

I'm still pretty new to this, and I'm one of those people that unless I see it, it has to be broken down for me... Sorry

In any case, I LOVE the concept of being able to put a design on it, so I prety much automatically want one, I just figure I ought to know how to use it before ordering. Thanks in advance!!

Edit: Just saw a previous post on it! Sorry, I missed it my first pass through!!
Edit #2: Nevermind, I just went through that post and it's more of a technical HOW it works... I'm more asking what I would do to make one work, if that makes any sense...

OK - The Chuck or the Little Chuck is what is called a battery mod (modification).

Typical e-cigarettes come with a battery specific to that e-cig, like 510, 901, 801, KR8088d-1, M401, etc., and you add an atomizer (also specific to that e-cig 'model') and a cartridge (mostly specific to the e-cig model, but some cam be used with multiple models, and the KR8088d1 'cartomizer' is an atomizer and cartridge all in one).

You order your Chuck/Little Chuck with an adapter like the 510, 901 or 801 so that you can use that style atomizer/cartridge with the battery in the Chuck/Big Chuck. Technically the Chuck/Big Chuck is a battery 'holder' that takes specific batteries that you can buy 'off the shelf' in 'battery stores' (usually on line, rarely in a brick and mortar store). The big thing is that these 'off the shelf' batteries are made so that they last much longer than the proprietary e-cig battery. Typically a 510 battery lasts an hour or two before it needs to be recharged, If you buy a Chuck/Big Chuck with a 510 adapter, you can get a '18650' battery for a Big Chuck that will last for up to four DAYS between recharges at 3.7 volts (roughly equivalent to what you'd get from a regular 510 battery), and if it's a Little Chuck you can get a 18350 battery that will probably last a full day. So you get much more time between recharging batteries.

AND where a 510 battery will cost you $10-$15, the 18650 battery is going to cost you $7 - $8. AND you can recharge that battery up to 200 times before it 'wears out' and you have to buy a new one. So if it lasts 4 days 200 times in a row, it cost you $7-$8 to get 800 days of vaping.

AND with a Big Chuck, you can use different batteries to get 6 volts, which will give a lot more throat hit and vapor if it's not TOO hot that it burns or has almost no taste. So some people with a Big Chuck NEVER use the 6 volt option, and some use it occasionally (and some people just love vaping at 6 volts)

So, that's it in a nutshell. The Chuck is a battery mod, one of many on the market (other examples include the Silver Bullet, the Screwdriver and the Xhaler). It's sturdy, it's relable (great warranty, too), and you can choose how to customize it so that is absolutely the most beautiful thing you have ever seen. Each one is hand-crafted by Jeff. Jeff won the 2009 Vapy awards in two categories - Best High Voltage commercial mod for the Chuck and Best commercial mod for the Little Chuck.

So order one (or more!) and you'll be very happy with the purchase.

And I forgot: How do you make it work?

- Buy the correct rechargeable batteries and a charger (see the thread about batteries - it tells you what batteries go with which model and some sources for the batteries and chargers).

- Charge the batteries.

- Unscrew the bottom cap from the Chuck/Little Chuck. Insert the battery (or batteries if you have a Big Chuck and want to vape at 6 volts) with the positive end pointing up to the top cap. (Positive end is the one with the little 'button top', Negative end is the 'flat' end). Then screw the bottom cap back on.

- Attach the correct atomizer at the top end. "Correct" atomizer is the one for the type of adapter you ordered, but you can also get attachments that will allow ou to use other models. Example: you ordered a Chuck with a 510 adapter. If you get the attachment that coverts the 510 adapter into a 901 adapter, you can now use a 901 atomizer or a KR8088D1 cartomizer.

- Fill your cartridge with juice, attach it to the atomizer, press the button on the Chuck and inhale/enjoy.

Why would anybody need more than 2 Chucks. The only reason could be for the design or the color. I have 2 (one I got for Christmas) and I don't think I will need anymore.

From what I understand, as soon as on is ordered and on its way, the next one is planned, and it's a continuing cycle

But I do have to say, they look REALLY frigging cool.

You need 3 at a minimum...

1 to leave at work with a spare batt, atty and 3ml of juice, incase you have a senior moment and walk out of the house without your chuck

2 as your main vaping chucks (automatically lets you carry around spare batt and atty)

1 backup chuck, so if something happens to one of them, you aren't panicked about only carrying one chuck around with you.

Wait a minute:confused::confused: that's 4! 8-o OMG I've gotta order another chuck!!!!

Sweet! How do you feel about comic book designs?
Like Green Lantern?

I won the other design for Xmas, but thinking about adding either a Dark Knight Batman or other DC comic Little Chuck...maybe even a DC Comic chuck (hmm, white with blue caps or blue with white caps????)

I feel that you should have one.

I agree, they're so crazy solid, you should only need one. Unless you lose it, it flies into the interstate, or you just plain do something destructive with it, you shouldn't have to worry about them. But if I do something stoooupid to hose up my chuck, I don't want to be without one, even for a week. Sorry dude, but nothing else works now (I can't go back to 510s). I may have been over the top with my post of needing 4 (and somewhat tongue in cheek), but I do think that it may not be required, but it is smart to have 2 chucks. JMO.
