I'm trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong. I received my first ego starter kit today. I charged up the batteries, screwed in a pre filled carto, put the cone on, and started to vape. Or tried to.

It was like sucking air but with less TH or vapor. Let's check to make sure that everything is tight. Ok. A little loose, but not bad. A little tweak and let's try again. Same thing. Are the batteries charged? Yup.

Hmmm.

Maybe where I'm putting the ego? I've tried further up and further down. Go too far on the cone and there's no air flow. The other way is a little better, but still feels like I'm sucking air.

I've switched batteries, cones, and carts. Same on all 3.

I'm sure I'm missing something simple and basic but I can't figure out what I'm missing.

Please help this poor, stupid feeling newbie.

Hello Welcome to ECF... now you have the prefilled carts I take it that you are using some have a cover over the end make sure you removed the cover....if your using an atomizer look down into make sure nothing is blocking the atomizer coil. I have seen a few people put a cart on and forgot to remove the rubber cap and it was blocking atomizer.

GRRR....kick myself.

Are you sure the cartos are filled? Are the connections compatible? It would be rare but perhaps all the cartos are dead. Do you hear any snapping from the carto?

Are you sure you are using a cartomizer? It sounds as if you are using atties with cartridges?

If you are using prefilled cartomizers there should be no problems like you are describing. If you are definately using cartos perhaps you could add a bit more juice to the cartomizer?

If you are using atomizers, make sure to drip about 3 drips right into the atty and fill add about 4 drops to your cartridge.

I find that when using certain types of cartos ,especially the colored ones. The fit of the Ego cone is very tight when sliding it on over the carto. And makes for a very tight draw on the inhale. I've read posts where some people slightly ream the opening on the cone or peel the colored sticker off the cart to reduce its circumference.
My own personal preference when using cartos is to either not use the Ego cone at all or use the stainless cartos which don't have a colored sticker on them...
