I have my machine OC a bit for gaming,and here is a copy of my DXdiag:

So I am also on a Solid state drive (SSD) and I dont want to wear it out anymore than I have too..Will FAH wear it out quicker,I have all the tools needed to run an ssd great,Just curious..

I also want to slow down % of my cores to maybe 25% total usage..IN my core temp they were getting a bit warm,but that is because of my OC on air,although it is NOT the intel fan,it is an aftermarket..

SO,I wont mind this running overnight,but when gaming I dont want to use up too much,Like I said 25% or so.

You can set the amount of processing power you want, and as far as I know your SSD drive won't be affected unless you have designated it as a source of memory for the computer to use if your buffers get full. Your processors and video card are going to take the heaviest load.

the folding at home date will be loaded into ram and crunched by the cpu the data usage of the hard drive is minimal i believe. its all layed on the cpu or gpu if using that option. i cannot see it using the HDD for more then holding the data and backups.
