i am wondering if there are any good quality e-cigs out there for a good price.. i am debating on getting the halocigs g6 e-cig package for 55 dollars i was wondering is it absolutely neccesary to have 2 batterys? like are they likely to brake after a couple months of using one? i have already purchased the bloog maxx fusion pcc package which cost me 77 dollars and was just overall unhappy with the product when i got it.. not that it wasnt good just was too expensive for what you get i mean i really didnt need a pcc anyways i hadnt even needed to recharge the battery the whole time i had it (1 day haha) and that cost 35 dollars alone... but i did happen to get a full refund on the product because they are just cool like that to let people make sure they are getting EXACTLY what you want and if not you have the option to return it within the first 30 days (this is for the package deals i dont know about other purchasing details)... anyways what i am looking for is something RELIABLE and not too costly like i dont mind spending 55 on the halo e-cigs if they are going to last me but all packages come with 2 e-cigs which makes me think they will brake or stop working eventually like how long is a typical batterys life supposed to last for and they sell a carry arond your neck type of holster for 1 e-cig which i would like alot better than the pcc seeing that like i said i didnt have to charge the batt for a whole day of using it (personally i probly use it less than MOST vaporers) but is there any other products that would be what i a looking for at a cheaper price and still be reliable? please let me know and dont be mad at me for how long this thread is... i mean it is rediculously long idek how that happened... thanks in advance............... oh crap i forgot to ask about e liquids are the ones from halocigs as good as they say or does the bottle just look fancy for no reason?

For starters get and EGO period, most of us did. Its a solid unit and come with two batteries and charger and attys for under $50 now. For juice I would say to begin with what ever floats your boat. When you get into vaping you can make 30ml for $2 so its up to you how deep you want to invest in time and money

There is a cheaper way to get into a ego. Buy it in pieces, I know  I'll show you:)

Your going to need a battery + Charger

eGo 510 650mAh USB Passthrough Battery

And you can vape it while it charges!

Your going to need some cartos

Boge 510 3.0 Cartomizer 5 Pack With FREE 5ml Bottle Of Eliquid

Or

eGo Mega Dual Coil Cartomizer Flat-Tip
A cone (if u want it)
Black Ego Cone

And finally some juice

China E-Liquids

There you have it. You are now the proud owner of a Ego and spent 1/2 of what you would have on a G6 or just about any other "Starter Kit"

Thats how I did it :)

Heyas Explosion,

I haven't dealt with halo either, so won't comment on them.

But, if you don't have any objections to fat batts, I'd suggest looking into E-Liquid and Electronic Cigarette Shop - Category Listings

Click the 20% off button in the top left corner first. You'll find Riva 510 (ego clone that's highly spoken of here) kits starting at about $30 and joye ego kits starting at about $40. There's a carrying case included in the price of one or more of the riva kits (probably not the $30 one, but I didn't check) and they sell ego/riva lanyards for about $10. Either kit is a much better value than $55 for an 808 kit, imho.

Their DV line of juices are quite tasty and reasonably priced, also.

Hope this helps,
Maximillian the Moderately Mischievious

+1 on Maximillian's recommendation. Follow the link to Liberty-flights.com, click the 20% discount button, and start shopping.

The Ego or Riva 510 is an excellent PV and the prices at LF are among the best.

Yes, it is necessary to have two batteries. You should always have spares and back-ups of everything. Batteries, attys, cartos, chargers, and juice.

I agree with the suggestion of a better model such as the eGo. But since your concern is saving money in the long run, the eGo is NOT the best option in that regards, since the batteries cost $14 - $20 each and can only be recharged 150 - 200 times. A model in the same category as the eGo that is much more cost effective is the E-Power 510. The batteries for the E-Power cost $4 - $5 each and can be recharged 1000+ times. In the long run you will save much more money and get better performance as the E-Power is a true 3.7 volt battery whereas the eGo is only 3.4 volts. Here a good supplier:

Somewhere out there
I use Halo G6 and think it is the best slim ecig out there. If you want to go with fatter batts there are other options, but for slim standard length, it is great. I also love Halo e liquids, I would suggest a sampler pack and if you don't like a flavor, let it sit for week or two and try it again, they steep and get a mellower taste. Yes you need more than one batt, I have 6 plus 3 chargers so I keep a bunch charged so I am never without a charged batt. But you maybe fine with just 2 batts, depends on how much you vape. I get a good two hrs on one batt. Halo is quality you really can't go wrong with their product. bnrk

For under 50 bucks...the Boge Revolution V2.1 (with 1400mah batteries).
It has a bottom feeding bottle. It's designed to work with Boge 510 vertical coil cartomizers and comes with 5 of them at standard resistance. Also included is a wall based charger. To me, the LR Boge Cartos do work a little better with it than the included standard resistance ones. I have screwed on a 2 Ohm dual coil carto, and it fires up fine, but not quite hot enough for me. I've not yet tried a 1.5 Ohm dualie on it yet, but folks on YouTube say it works just fine and would definitely vape a bit warmer than the 2 Ohm one I tried.

Here lately, I add a tube from an old windex bottle to the bottle and use regular atomizers (either a 2 Ohm Ikenvape Cannon, or a typical LR 801 atty with an adapter) instead of the cartos, but that's just me. I've also used the Cisco spec custom 1.7 Ohm LR atties and they do nicely too. The main reason I prefer the 801 with an adapter is because it lightens up the draw considerably (adjustable air flow with the adapter), and still feeds quite well. Every few hits, I give the bottle a few squeezes with my thumb and cold-draw to pull liquid into the atty...then I'm good to go for 8 to 12 hits or more. Sometimes it even auto feeds for me once I get it primed and going.

When I want to vape a different flavor that isn't loaded in the bottle, I just screw on my favorite loaded cartomizer, or drip into the atty.

These things are very light and fit the hand and pocket well. They have two long lasting li-poly batteries in them that easily go all day. No extra charger is needed, just plug the thing into the included charger, or use a mini USB cord to charge it on a computer. It can be vaped while it charges.

Even if I never used the bottom feeder, I'd find the little V2 worth the $50 I paid for it. It's not the best bottom feeder out there, but it is one of the least expensive for something that comes loaded with great batteries, a charger, and can be vaped all day. If you buy any other box mod that bottom feeds, you'll get close to this price and still not have batteries and a charger to go in them!

Here's a V2 Review: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b81qEbS5nsY
Note: The V2.1 still has the alien lights on top, but no anion thing in the unit, instead it has an extra battery bringing it up to 1400mah.

I use the Halo g6 and IMO it is the best quality slim ecig there is on the market. It has received some great reviews.I just stepped up to the Riva 510 as suggested here because you do get longer battery life and a little more oomph. But you will never see my g6 for sale in the classifieds as I will never give it up.Their cartomizers are top quality and last a long time.Their juices are phenomenol(sp?).I am a fairly heavy vaper and feel I have found what I need for my pvs.You get what you pay for and I don't see that Halo is all that much more expensive.I am not rich(far from it) but if I'm going to vape I am going to enjoy it.SS.

All 808's are not the same (and I strongly recommend manuals if you want the best hits and the best reliability)

There are standard 808 - 5 seconds cutoff

The Halocigs G6. Bloogplanet and SmokelessImage Volt (all identical) add rubberized finished, VERY sealed manuals, 40mah more charge per battery size by using regulated 3.6v instead of 3.7v. Still 5 second cutoff

The Vapor4Life model is 3.7v (does not have the extra 40mah of charge or rubberized finish) but its big feature is a long 10-13 second cutoff so it's the only KR8 I know of that allows drags longer than 5 seconds (and 5 seconds is a bit short for manuals, even with my small mouth, when you want to press the button in 1-2 seconds early to have vapor ready that can leave only 3 seconds to drag). Downside - the threaded end of the manuals is not as totally sealed (still a hole but looks somewhat sealed inside)

They are all KR808D-1 threaded, can all use each others cartos. I've used Kr8's for 11 months and I have all three types above (all in manual though I tried one auto and was disappointed in the hit vs manuals). KR8 is the way to go if you want to try prefilled cartos that are well made for refilling. No other threading has a good mount of prefilled cartos. And KR8 is the the strongest slim mini at 3.7v (3.6 for the rubberized ones). Every bit as strong as my 3.7v mods - just not as much charge and slim ecigs should not use LR stuff (generally stuff below 2.5 ohms). But their own cartos are near 2.5ohms (V4L WOW cartos) and 2.6ohms (the bottom coil cartos of the rubberized models which are nice cartos)

Check out litecigusa.net. You can get a 901 SLB Riva starter kit for $34.95. My husband and I upgraded to the 510 Riva after starting out with a standard Joye 510 but wanted more vapor and longer battery life. If you don't have any existing 510 attys or cartos that you want to continue to use, the 901 Riva is $5 cheaper than the 510 Riva. Also, from personal experience, LiteCig has impeccable customer service. They shipped us an incorrect item in one of our MANY orders and when I notified them, they sent the correct item out immediately without requesting that we return the item they shipped in error. I have turned several friends and family members on to the e-cig and this is the site that I send them to. We have all always gotten our order within two to three days. Hope this helps and good luck in your quest!

Girl, I am always amazed at how much you know about all of this stuff!! :toast:

Re Rivas - my faves are the Riva 510 kits at Liberty-Flights.com which are 3,7v because they are the latest stock of Eastmall-made Riva 510's. Same strength as my KR8's and 3.7v mods - I can stick a 510 to 808 adapter on the Riva and use it to vape them at their intended heat, or put any of the 510 stuff on them including hotter LR stuff.
