Honing liquids to 8-10 favs. Weed out the bad, and give away to mates. Just got some AVE in should be able to get 1-2 out of them. almost there liquid wise.

Well see what the horizon presents.............

Once you start making your own coils/heads and your own juice, the savings vs analogs skyrockets. Of course this depends on the price of cigarettes in your area and how much you used to smoke, In North Carolina, analogs are really not that expensive (as compared to say New York City) my old brand (Camel Methol Regulars) cost me about $3.50 a pack, still I am seeing significant savings.

There is definitely a learning and exprience curve though with e-cigs. If your serious about vaping, it will take research, time, and money as you learn and experiment with things till you find what works for you. But there is also a strong geek-like/hobbyist lure, especially for those who are gadget lovers or technologically inclined. So I can indentify with the OP.

I'm a little over $1000 dollars into this VAPING BS (well, if you take into account the money I've saved from not buying cigarettes, it's more like $700)!!

After today's purchase rolls in I'll have 6 Mods, One Metric ..... TON of tanks, and enough Juice to last till Christmas.

I'm saying buh-bye to this Forum for a while. You people are a terrible influence on me. :p

But...I've quit smoking.

(Ermahgerd, I just bought a Provari, and my first RBA...I'm gonna need wire and wick stuff, but I swear, after that, I'M DONE!)

Hint: I found this to be very important!! I removed my quit banner since I was using anything that remotely resembled a milestone to justify buying something.

It's not the vaping that's the culprit, it's ECF!!! I vaped for almost a year before discovering this site and I was not only quite happy with my little 510 but was DEFINITELY saving money over smoking. Then I join ECF and I'm buying eGo's, Kanger T3's, dripping atomizers, 2 orders of juice samples, and just ordered a Provari. Next I'm sure will come RBA's, ultrasonic cleaners for cleaning atomizers, interstate trips to buy Everclear to clean atomizers, video camera's for recording YouTube vape blogs. And my poor 510 is abandoned and forlorn.

Shucks, Treetie, I just got a couple 1100 mah autos to vape hands free with, to supplement a stash of 380 mah ones. There are times I want to vape but need both hands for something else... like steering, shifting and gesturing. Oops, that's three hands already!

Along with lots of other stuff as well... MVP, VV3, a few Spinners, lots of different top ends.....

Part of the journey, for me, is / was finding what worked well for me. Nine months in, I'm still not sure if I'm going to be vaping forever, or not. But as long as I still enjoy it, and don't burn any tobacco, it doesn't really matter, since my primary goal was to stop doing that.

Not sure it's going to be a hobby, so I've been resistant to high end mods so far. But I do have backups for my backups.

Is $1000 a lot of money on vaping? I am in serious trouble. lol. You haven't even ventured into the wonderful world of mechanicals yet :) You can't leave yet.

I just put myself on a no buy. Hubby said If I get anymore juice ( I have some coming Thursday) hes gonna take my card away. LOL. I'm way more into it than him. I do get a lot of wants from the boards but I enjoy meeting new people and just having the support. I think yall have helped me a lot to stay quit. Don't leave just hide your card when your on here. LOL . Good luck to you and take care.

I have used ECF to cut down on my WOW and FB habits. It is more costly but it is worth it.

I also had a very fortunate thing happen to me. I got some erroneous charges on my only credit card the wife lets me have :p Then when I got the replacement card it wont work. So now I have to use cash for everything from my "allowance" (she is an accountant, we both get allowances for frivolous spending). Damn allowance money is not enough to buy all the toys I want so there you have it. I am now under control.

It's really not necessary to spend that kind of money. Sounds like your set for a while though. By the time Christmas rolls around, I wouldn't be surprised if all the stuff had paid for itself in saved cigarette funds.

I'm going to need 4 Christmas and that's if I stop!
