OK these mods are getting out of hand. Wow. Pleasant experience with cig-alikes from a habitual mod buyer/user.

My charger sucks though. I have the volt usb cable plugged into a generic wall adapter and I never know when the batteries are charged. The red led never turns green or shuts off. But after a couple hours I take them off and they seem to be fully charged... heh. I suppose everyone is going to tell me I need a volt ac adapter now.

I had an ego battery that overheated plugged into my laptops usb port once. it never worked after that. button lit up fine when there was nothing on top, but if I screwed something in, it just wouldn't fire it. If I held it up to my ear I could hear a faint sizzle. Guess my USB port blew the battery out. It was a 350mah. Guess it didn't know to stop charging :p

so... back on topic....
I went the direction of mod's but really didn't like the attention they triggered outside of my home.
I switched to mini eGo's for outside the house and my mods at home.
Found the EVOD clearomizers and loved them. Anyway, now all I use is EVOD's with 1.5ohm heads (from Stormy's) and 450mah 3.7v mini's (from Liberty). I've switched it up so many times that I've given up with saying this is it, I'm happy :)
At the moment, the EVOD/Mini combination is working great for me. The only exception is I do use njoy Kings when I travel. They work really well and I like not worrying about charging or damaging them and so on while on a trip.
One of the things that is great about the ecig market right now; lots of good stuff to choose from. There seems to be some good affordable products in every classification from the disposables (NJOY Kings) to the middle of the road eGo's, to the high end mods.
Lots of choice out there!
Plumes: Great thread - nice to see you enjoying the virtues of an entry level device and I haven't seen one post in the thread - yet - telling you you should get a Provari instead :)

Ever consider that vivi novas just suck and cartos are better? Put a cart with the right resistance on a battery, be it cig-a-like or larger PV, you get the same thing as long as it is wet. 3.6 from a little battery works the same as on a big battery. Put a vivi on it, it sucks no matter what you use because they just can't wick well enough. You have to do the tilt and swirl business to even make it work well enough for one hit, much less consistent hits. I know people like them, but I just can't see why when they don't last long and can't deliver?

What the problem for me with the cig-a-likes are I got sick of charging them every hour. Consider each battery only lasts x amount of charges, you are basically paying all that money for less working time overall. I want the same hit, time after time, with as little fuss as possible. Get an RBA working right, you have it for days, even weeks sometimes with no tilt and swirl, no head changing or any other nonsense. Just refill.

Get rid of the clearos altogether, use the cartos (best in a tank) on whatever works for you. If you want a little more set up time, but a longer functioning unit with every hit, get the RBA.

In the end, if it makes you happy use it. If you can afford to buy up the little batteries and replace them often, go for it. I want one holder I can replace a $10 battery once a year, with a nice wick and coil I can tailor to my needs that will last a long time with no problems.

ETA: sorry if this offends, just drinking the wine after watching Walking Dead so I am a bit on edge

The Vivi Nova is a dreadful device, IMHO. The worst clearo I have ever used. A T-2, or BCC Mega, or CE4, or Evod all make for much more pleasure in the experience. To be fair, any clearo is a bit finicky. They all have their little issues. My current favorite is my BCC Mega, but you have to pop the stem out and remove the top wick with it for it to give a rich enough vape like PB shows in his video.

I suppose I may just have not learned the Vivi trick yet, but I am disinclined to learn it at this juncture.
