Okay this is driving me batty

This happened once before but it stopped on its own.

With my new compturer, any time I get a new alert it automatically "adds" it to my alert list, when I am going through my alerts, like if I get two they are automatically added to my list, so they can't pile up. I don't always want to endlessly read alerts forever.

It doesn't matter what style of ECF I use, it keeps happening. Does anyone have a fix for it pretty please? I can't find anything and it's annoying me.

Alerts also disappear automatically after a set period of time (I think it's 72 hours).
