Hey Andrew, welcome to the forum!
Did you happen to see this?

I remember seeing something about this on our black and white tv when I was a kid. The adults would bust up laughing because us kids had our candy cigarettes, and they actually looked more like the real thing, I wonder if anyone kept on vaping in the early days? If so, it would be interesting to see some health records or cause of death and compare them with the smokers of that era.

Interesting - someone managed to track down Herbert Gilbert in 2013 and interview him: An Interview with The Inventor of the Electronic Cigarette

Hi All

I'm looking into the history of e-cigs. The oldest reference to an e-cig I've managed to find is this: . Has anyone smoked one, or does anyone have any information about them? What were they like?

Thanks

Andrew

Interesting, I don't see any vapor from those at all. I just watched a video that said there was an e-cig as far back as 1963 but never made it big in the market.

EDIT: Looks like @disallowedword beat me to it.

The ones that looked like cigarettes were pretty frustrating for me, the first few hits were not to bad then they progressively got weaker. My next ecig was the joyetech 510's,

Had to run a 6 bay charger to keep things going, and learned to drip because of the poor ejuice delivery. Had to carry the delicate ecig to work in a metal cigar tube, lol.
I quit analogs for 3 yrs but finally gave into the desire to smoke an analog when having a beer.

We got it made now! I didn’t even cut back this time, I just quit analogs cold, picked up a mod with a EVOD2 and some ejuice.
This is a great thread, thank you OP and everyone for all the great reading material, keep if coming!
