I was just about to break down the rta when I noticed that the GP logo and the air hole were aligned, which hardly ever happens for me
Old favorite; PAPs 2.5 with a favorite rta, GUS mods top cap

My Megalodon from the UK probably qualifies as an ugly orphan. It was great to use though way back when I did use it. I have all the tubes for it to stack batteries/set it up to run at different voltages (3.7, 5, 6 or 7.4 VDC).

Thanks, but the bottom pic is not mine. I must have lost most of my old pics of it set up when I upgraded to a new computer a few months ago. Had pics of it with several different atty's I tried on it.

Some more orphans, these from spring 2013... Sigelei 18XXX tube mods.

Sig #20, #19E Copper, #8W (and a VV/VW ZMax V5 from the first pre-order). All telescope from 18350-18650 except the 8W (have both 18350 & 18650 tubes for it though).

I see a few Dingos there. I know you squonk now, but how did they perform when you did use them?

I got a Dingo recently, it was in really bad shape, mechanically and sent it in to Atmizoo for refurbishing, cost me 60 (plus got some spare parts) I hope its worth it, but it was one of those I always wanted, came with the extension for 18500 batteries. It should be here soon and hope the money spent was worth it.

I did prefer to squonk. But I have changed gears again and also drip RDA's a lot of the time, and use RDTA's/RTA's sometimes on mech and regulated TC mods. When you have 95+ mods and 150+ atty's you find excuses to use some of your old favorites now and then. It also doesn't help that I am still buying new gear to try out. There is no good reason for doing that, I have several lifetimes of gear in hand near the end of mine... but it gives me something to do. Have some more new to me RDA's coming, a new regulated sqounk mod that should also get here soon, and have another different one I just put in a cart I haven't decided 110% on yet.

Mods are like women's shoes... having 20-30 pairs will never do. ;)

I've never had anything from Atilizoo, but the #20 Roller was my lest favorite of the Sig's, the one I almost never used during the short time period I used these 4 mods before diving headlong into the ProVari's. The Rollers fire button was problematic, and it could cause dead shorts/vent the battery (at least on those from that era). There was a fix, but at the low price point these were back then not worth my trouble to do anything about it. Without looking in my exact data file, the three mechs were each in the $30-$35 price range back then (plus about $10 for the 8W's extra long tube)... the ZMax was around $60 on pre-order. No idea if the threads on ECF talking about the Rollers issues/fix are still on ECF.

I was not a fan of the telescoping mods, so mostly only used the 8W (Sig's clone of a Caravela mech). I didn't like/use the toppers on them in the above picture either (Tridents, RSST's, Kayfun's - 2 of each) or any of the Kanger Krap (a bunch of EVOD's, T3"s, Protanks and coil heads, not even when I started rebuilding the coil heads myself). MTL gear at best, I'm DLH. So I bought some everyday RDA's for them instead. IOW, the first people I listened to on ECF when I first joined it I soon stopped listening to and started doing ALL my own research for this new to me hobby (still do going on 5 years later).

Love your posts... As soon as the Dingo gets here I will update. I know they have a fair following to this day. I rarely vape at lower than .80 resistance. THis will also be my first true side button mech, so I hope it works out. It needed to have almost all the top internals changed out and they did have a switch assembly that was designed for lower resistances. Not sure which one Taz installed, but we shall see.

Look at the GG mechs, they were THE mech to have and I never got one because I heard the switch was a bear to get just right, so crossing my fingers Im happy with it.

Has been interesting to remember some of my early gear that didn't get it done for me, including that tube mod (I have been all the way over using tube mods for a very long time). My retired gear graveyard is a very large one.

As for your Dingo... I hope it has a far better fire button system than the Roller did. Mine was a RPITA in use. The fire button turned round and round 360 degrees endlessly with no stop on it, had to almost be exactly at 3 o'clock to fire it, and only had a light scratch on it to reference it. But it was also so loose that when you fired it the button often moved enough one way or the other that you constantly had to consciously turn it back to 3 o'clock for the next vape. The reference on the tube was only a screened 'ON' that you couldn't feel. I took a jewelers file to the button to make a deep notch in it's surface I could feel with my finger even in the dark, but then decided to just add it to the graveyard instead of taking the time to also drill a shallow hole where the 'ON' was on the tube so I could also feel it. In the end, because of the telescoping that I didn't like either it only saw a very little use in 18350 mode.

So this arrived today !!!! and Im not disappointed. Refurbished and refinished and working great. Button is so smooth and easy to lock and open. I just have to learn the details like how to adjust the top contact etc, and maintenance to keep it perfect.

Dingo-001.jpg

Before: Did not fire, was encrusted with liquid that looked baked on, and it had a LOT of surface scuffs.

I really enjoy my Atmizoo mods, Roller and Lab, I hope you do yours as much. I have been a REO user for a long time but am back to mechs, preferably side fire and rta's, also 0.8 to 1.0 ohm builds.
However I like the GP Paps alot. Got to love the Greek mods, just works of art.
