that new magnet switch sounds really cool..........must take a "magnetic personality" to come up with this..... you never know what Imeo's brain is cooking up for his next ideas.......
I'm not sure this is on the same track...
But, I adjusted my path back when I was 27 and I've been a much nicer person ever since![]()
Only 2 more things friendthat new magnet switch sounds really cool..........must take a "magnetic personality" to come up with this..... you never know what Imeo's brain is cooking up for his next ideas.......![]()
ps........ easier to install it. It doesnt have the adjustable path (no one until now adjusted the path so no reason to keep this function) but its so easy to install it. You just screw it on GG without worring about the position of the rings![]()
ehrm, do you mean nobody except me had ever adjusted the distance the switch needs to travel to make contact ? w00t w00t.
i shortened it as much as possible without doing accidential contact.
I like adjustable path too, I prefer it a little bit shorter than "default" and I adjust it that way.
So the magnets will work in my button on the GGT ?
It`s worth a try,If they dont fit I will get a new button. The new button will fit right?

Both the new and old button screw right into my GGTS, so I can only assume the outer threads are identical.
Yep, I've got a bit of rubber sheeting that I cut up into sections and use for all these types of unscrewing. Using a cloth just isn't protective enough (as I found out to my cost on my first GGTS)The secret to getting a good grip on the "nail" when unscrewing the button is to use flat nosed pliers with a rubber glove to act as a grip for the pliers and a cushion to not mar the brass. The other end of the rubber glove can then be used to grab the button with your fingers and as nice firm twist and it comes apart.
So the magnets worked out ok for you too? Good stuff....Just finished installing the magnetic button upgrade in my GGTS, GGS and GGSS. Only had to use two magnets in each of the GGS and GGSS to replicate the feathery soft touch the spring had.
I highly recommend this upgrade because now the button presses are so silky smooth and quiet. I used to be able to ever so slightly hear the spring compressing when I pushed the button, but not anymore with the magnets.
