I generally leave the workshop around 6 PM every day .. I'll flip the news on and rustle up some dinner while it plays .. after hearing the Drones and Talking Heads recapping the trials and tribulations of the day (news these days, to me anyway, has turned into semi-info-tainment, where is Cronkite when you need him .. ??) .. Wheel comes on as I sit down to eat .. so, that makes me the other half of the viewing audience by default .. Leggs and I are an Army of Two .. ;) .. the dude that solved the puzzle with One Frickin' Letter last week .. ?? I'm beginning to wonder if the show is rigged .. ;)

But Vanna is still pretty hot .. :)

She is and she's gotta be 60 looks as good as she did when she started. And they say the camera adds 20 years or is that pounds.

Yepper, I enjoy da Pickers. Just da other day they had a show where an older gal said, "I still have the memories" after da boys bought several mementos.

As the camera panned around the area revealing the remaining One Million, Nine Hundred and Ninty Nine Thousand items she refused to part with .. ;)

I was never a stereo geek. I appreciated the high end setups my friends had - but never invested the money for really quality sound gear. Unless it was the special sound of an exhaust system for my car or motorcycle - now that was a sweet sound to my ears.

I, unfortunately, was also afflicted by Motorheadism .. back in the day, at least ..

Movie night at Willie's next Saturday night. Everyones invited. (oops, didn't check w/ you 1st UW - I'm assuming it's OK).:toast:

Not a problem .. I can do one Hell of a Super Bowl party as well .. and with all the great cooks here on the thread, we be partying like it's 1969 .. er, 1999 ..

Good Afternoon, sorry I didn't get a chance to check in this morning. Looks like Doree and I are going to have to go back to VA sooner than planned. Went to fill my pain script this morning and they won't fill it because it's not on tamperproof paper. Law says it has to be. Not in VA I guess. Called my doctor and ask her to FedEx me a new script on the right paper and she said she couldn't. Law won't let her send scripts out of state. So now I have no choice. Gotta go home to VA before I run out so I can refill. Wasn't planning on going back to VA for a couple of weeks, now we are heading home this coming Thursday. :-\

Sent with no malice and not a whole lot of forethought from my new Galaxy Tab 4. Thanks Santa!

I hate it when I lose words too. It's especially embarrassing when I do it with people at my work.

Is the word you're looking for *rotate*?

I do it to. Right there on their tip of my tongue and I just can't spit it out. Wife has taken to filling in the blank lately.

Pounds and not on her. I have to agree with you on this one. Rachel Welch too. 77 years old and still hot as fire cracker. Someday someone is going to find that painting in their attics and they are going to age fifty years in 10 minutes.

Isn't it funny how attached we can be to our "junk"? I have a couple or three collections that I am just not ready to pare down yet. My pride and joy hoarde consists of a 20 plus year collection of blown glass Santa Claus ornaments, don't know exactly how many I have, but each year when I hang them (on the huge Christmas tree I had to buy to accomodate them) I remember where and when I got each one. :)

Another collection I enjoy is my stash of nail polishes. They live in a little Helmer cabinet from Ikea that I bought just for them. At least 400 little bottles of every color you can imagine. Believe it or not, nail polish is highly collectable and some are worth a surprising amount of money. Silly thing to collect, maybe, but I do enjoy them and use them (except the high dollar ones of course ;).) Where's Rat, she'd understand this little obsession of mine....:D

Why is it I have a strange fascination with Helen Mirren .. ?? All I can say is "I'll have whatever she's having .. "

Matt, Can't you get it through a local military or VA doctor rewritten?

List of things predicted to rise in price in 2015 .. Girl Scout Cookies, Olive Oil, Coffee (oh, the humanity) .. Chocolate, Avocados, Beef and Pork, and last but certainly not least .. Bourbon .. so within my budgetary constraints, I will be stocking up on Bourbon and Coffee, since I must prioritize ..

Although to offset the price risers, the following are predicted to go down .. Gas, Butter, Cranberries, Smartphones .. so, as the owner of a full size truck that does well to get 16 MPG with a good tail wind .. the gas price drop will help subsidize my addiction for Tagalongs, Samoas and Do Si Dos .. I will go on record as not being a Thin Mints Fan ..

Wow - that's odd that your Doctor can't at least submit the script directly to the pharmacy in FL. When I was in Cali - my doctor in PA was able to do that for a controlled anxiety med. Surely there's got to be some way to handle it.

I suppose anything is collectable - let's see I have a collection of can's of spray paint int the shop. Naw - probably ain't the same as designer nail polish. OTOH - if I throw those away I cold score points w/ Janet as part of my learning process to throw things away.

What I've come to realize is dat there may be only a very few dat would appreciate our 'stuff' as we do. Ergo, I'm hoping to divest myself while I can still 'control' da stories.

Doc didn't even get on the phone to discuss it. I am going to have a little discussion with her when I get home. She has been treating me for over 10 years and I've been at bthe practise for 20. They have made some changes lately that I am not real happy with and this just ...... me off. Now I understand that the feds are coming down hard on schedule ii drugs and doctors prescribing them but, there had to be some way that she could have helped me. I'm a little .......

That is why I want to clear out so much stuff - I remember when my Uncle passed several years back - they hauled off 2 dumptruck loads of the stuff that he just could not divest himself of...
