I'm not sure how the weather compares farther south, like around CO Springs, but you don't have to go very far at all north or west to have much harsher weather. it's all about the mountains...
I was in Co Springs one time in April. Was surprised to see a lot of snow on the ground, but was very surprised that with low temps, and a lot of snow, it didn't FEEL all that cold. I'm sure it would now to me, but nothing like the bitter cold we get when it does get cold. Dunno if that's the "dry" cold, or if it was just a lucky few days.
Why the handle "Rotowoman" .. ??

.. you'll find if you hang around here, I sometimes ask
stupid interesting questions ..
had to fix that for ya!
I am afraid that if I move I will never get back to that comfort level. Doree swears we will but, folks I've put a lot of work into where I am now. Kinda scared I'll lose it all. Oh well nuff .....ing for now. Thanks for listening my friends.
Sent with no malice and not a whole lot of forethought from my new Galaxy Tab 4. Thanks Santa!
So sorry hun. I know a bit about how that is. When I moved in with SIL and nephew, I had to put all my craft stuff in storage. Those were my crafting tools. Heck, some of the demos husbands would even swipe some of our "tools" and they'd end up on their workbenches. My son guaranteed me that he'd get a climate controlled storage, and I told him several times, if you change your mind, let me know NOW. Once all the stamps, inks, adhesives etc are packed up, I can't redo them. He "forgot" when he got excited that they had a unit right next to his (then girlfriend), now wife's unit. Really. So the sucky part is, I have no place to stamp and make the things I so enjoy making, the super sucky part of it is, most of it is very likely now ruined from the heat and cold.
Movie night at Willie's next Saturday night. Everyones invited. (oops, didn't check w/ you 1st UW - I'm assuming it's OK).
I was thinkin the same thing. Ok, really I was thinkin......hey willie, wanna adopt me?? but movie night will suffice. lol
I guess I started modding at an early age. I wanted a painted pony, so I painted the spotted one.
So you were Mikeguyver even then! Did you make the paint outta some lemonade and chalk???
Tell me about it we are supposed to have 40mph winds tonight with a wind chill of -20
That alone would be reason enough for me to move!!
Yes - I remember Atari but in the early 70's when they were introduced I was hanging in bars not playing frogger. Are you sure you're old enough to be on the porch?
lol I was thinking the same thing. Wiki says frogger came out in 81. The year I graduated HS. We had an atari in the late 70's, used of course. Just the white paddles and white ball, and I think 4 games that were nearly identical utilizing those.
Doree and I will celebrate our 38th anniversary this September. I got married in 1979 in a lime green leisure suit. Two days before the ship was deploying to South America. Just the two of us, the judge and the judge's wife. Damn pants where so right that when I went to take the ring out of my pocket I dropped it and it rolled under the couch. I have a picture of the judge and my butts as we crawled under the couch looking for it!
Sent with no malice and not a whole lot of forethought from my new Galaxy Tab 4. Thanks Santa!
Cannot believe NO ONE else demanded to see these pics!! lol although I am trying very hard to get the image of a lime green suit outta my head! lol
Congrats on 38 years - that is fantastic.

My Prom Leisure Suit was baby blue and I also still have one that is canary yellow. I have been told to put them on Ebay since Disco is coming back.
They were all baby blue! lol Well, most of em anyhow
(see above)
Wow this gal just won 87K worth of cash and prizes on Wheel of Fortune.
Count me in too. I not only watch it, I dvr it. A few nights ago a man won just shy of 92K in the game alone! they said it mighta been a record. He didn't win the bonus round though. The other two players just smiled and looked purdy.
My final question would be your opinion on Womens Shoes .. ??

... while I feel sure we have no Imelda Marcos here (or maybe we do) ..
we've long since established that i'm not a girly girl, but......I own ONE pair of shoes, and now, two prs of slippers since I got some miami dolphin slippers for Christmas.
Getting up on the table is easy - it is the getting down part I worry about...
hehehe Getting down is easy!! Might break a hip, but it's easy. Actually I could get down easier and a bit safer than I could get up.
You know I very much hope you can work it out without an early trip home .. and I agree with what others have said about the knee jerk Uncle Sam reaction .. at the same time, it's the faction of the population that abuses, attempts to profit and play the system that generally causes these sort of crackdowns .. hell, there are areas you have to get a script to buy Sudafed, facryinoutloud .. and even if no script is required, you're still expected to present your ID and get entered into a database .. and then, if it's discovered you are buying whatever might be considered an "excessive" amount, guess what .. ?? Somebodies gonna come a knockin' ..
.. the term "Orwellian Nightmare" keeps popping into my head ..
absofrickenlootly!!! This burns me up what Matt's going through. I do hope that something will work out for you that you don't have to go home early. Unless of course, yur wantin to and this is a timely reason! lol I know they said the schedule II's could be done electronically (not fax), but don't know if that's federal and if it is, if it's local only. Yes there is an issue with the abuse, but when is the Government gonna learn that this crap DOESN'T STOP THE CRIMINALS!!! Sorry for the caps, but it makes me insane!! The abusers still get and abuse the stuff, or something like it, and the folks who need it, can't get it.
Sorry I was MIA a couple days. One of my bestest friends that I hadn't seen in 10 years came to visit. Her hubbie's son lives a couple towns over, so I was able to spend a night and a day with them! Wasn't nearly long enough, but was sooooooo wonderful to see them! They live in Mississippi, and had taken a several state tour visiting folks. This was their next to last stop on their way home.
I used to be a pack rat, but have had too many times of losing stuff to hurricanes, or having to downsize and get rid of it, or whatever that now I'm almost immune. I did have to get rid of some things this last time I'd have liked to have kept, but oh well. And the bad part is....probably kept some things that looking back I could have let go. I don't really collect things anymore though. I do have a few pieces, but very few. For the most part if I don't use it, I let it go.
I forget who said it, and apparently didn't quote it, but I'd love to see some pics of those ornaments if you have any. those sound gorgeous! And that's very functional, you use them every year.
I'd not heard the george carlin clip before. Loved him when he wasn't bein nasty. lol
