Its a good thing I don't get hangovers, but its after 10 and I'm still a little drunk, so I'm feeling pretty good.
I only drink twice a year, new years and July 4th, the rest of the year it might be a beer every 2 months or so.

Yepper, back porch isn't "restricted" to vaping, like the front porch is supposed to be 
My last 24 years working, I was senior electrician at a hydro-electric plant. Worked on / around the river, in the mountains, and have zero interest in camping! (That, and we live in the foothills, still mostly forested around us, and I can sit on the deck and watch the deer. Why "rough it"??
I also spent many years building and fixing ships, many of them USN, but many also commercial, and some "cruise" - and never worked on a cruise ship I'd be comfortable sailing on.... construction standards for those are WAY below what we built for the Navy!

Figured i would drag the conversation over here cause I don't know all the forum rules and don't want to start nothing in my first week of posting.....
Probably, the most fun I had while active was blowing up mines in the Persian Gulf in 90-91 and clearing mines off the beaches in Kuwait. I went to work for general Dynamics after I retired and ended up going to Iraq in 2005-6 and then again 2009-11 to close down the shop.
My wife laughs at me ever since I told her I no interest in taking a cruise somewhere because it seemed like I have been riding ships all my life, lol.
We took a cruise while I was still on active duty and I hated it. Used to being in charge of where and how the ship moves is hard to give up!

Jup, only trouble I had was getting to sleep, but that is just because of pain. Once I'm asleep, I've actually been staying that way here lately which is wonderful. It was super exciting getting to tell y'all.....but I've known about it for awhile. Was soooooo hard sitting on my fingers with all the grandbaby talk goin on lately. lol Now I finally can yell.... me too...me too.... me too!!!! lol

And now they're all old and falling apart. Still not sure what's up with all the disease we hear about these days on em. No excuse for all that. I LOVE the water and a cruise would my idea of heaven if it weren't for all the crap you hear about these days with the cruise ships.
Thanks so much to everyone for all the well wishes!! Means so much to me. Now we just wait to see whether or not it's twins. It runs in her family every other generation, and this is the generation for it. Her one brother has 3 kids but no twins. Other brother has no kids yet. She's poked out pretty good, so she's either quit holding in her belly, is further along than anyone, including her thinks.......or......there's more than one. Her aunt had a dream she had twin boys.
Very quiet NYE here. The DC rockin eve used to replay the countdown for the central time zone folks, but I reckin they haven't done that for awhile. I'd forgotten that they hadn't done it last time I'd watched either. Don't watch it much, cuz it's just not the same. But then... what is. Now that I think about it, I think that might have been a reason I quit watching it. Before I'd just turn it on when it got close to midnight to see the replay of the countdown. We didn't drink or have any kind of party. Watched Iron Man 3 though finally last night. Gonna have to check out the labor day movie mattie was talkin bout on netflix.
That coconut rum mixed with the almond tequila was to die for, dessert in alcohol form

I just can't bring myself to buy ANY pre-made juice even when I see a 50% off sale and most sales are hard for me to resist. 
Sorry to intrude, but I couldn't agree more. My son wants to take a cruise for Spring Break and I can't get past the idea that I should get paid to get underway, not the other way around...

My gall bladder decided to kick my ..... for a few days, so I haven't been around, but it finally gave up yesterday so I was able to have a little champagne last night.

(And for our new porchers / vapers, that's one of the drum beats of the people who want to ban ecigs. Flavors are for kids, to get them to vape.... Yeah. Once you turn 18 or 21, your taste buds die so flavor doesn't matter??)
