Older Folks and Vaping Back Porch - Part 2

Don't think you could pay me to try crab juice, and I was finally dissuaded from trying bacon juice by all the horrible things folks said about it. although....someone on an old Apollo thread said they were working on a DIY bacon juice that wasn't perfected yet, but was fairly tasty. Wish I could remember who it was....wonder if they ever got it did. Seemed like it started with an M. Wasn't you was it Mattie??? But....... someday I would like to try pluid. just to say I did. Haven't wanted to try it bad enough to buy a bottle, but I am strangely intrigued by it. I love licorice

Nooooooooo, not me. I am not that brave I did mix up some Black Licorice a couple of days ago. Haven't tried it yet but it sure smells good. It was one of billsmagicvapor's recipes.

I had stomach surgery and the doctor said right before I'm just going to remove the gall bladder most people that have this have problems and you don't need it any way. So no gall bladder.

A buddy of mine had his removed, liked to tell people that they "snatched his gizzard out!"

A girlfriend of mine also had hers removed. Her four year old would tell folk that mom had "diamonds in her golf batter" (stones in her gall bladder).

Thanks to all of you that responded to my question on pursuing further contact with Debbie (Jewels) .. with thread posts and several PM's ..

.. my choice is to not pursue any additional contact at this time and respect her privacy .. assuming the Post Office got my card to her or her family, they have had direct contact outside of PM's and straight up emails .. in addition, the Holiday season can and does suck up peoples time and energy .. after looking into some other ideas that were presented thru PM's, I find no reason to believe there is any cause to think there is any sort of worst case scenario .. there are only a few possible reasons that she is not posting or responding .. and I choose to believe it's either personal choice / lack of time / or possibly her medical treatments .. when and if I have any cause to think different, I will go the next step .. keeping in mind that Jewels has always remained positive with an upbeat attitude throughout most all of her ordeal, we should maintain the same ..

When we went thru the discussion on TX Tumbleweed (Randall) as it relates to leaving instructions .. I think a couple of things need to be reinterated .. Randall had, in fact, instructed a relative, I believe a grandson, to inform the thread of any news regarding his scenario .. that information was never forthcoming after Randall passed, and Torey (Rat) and I spent a good amount of time digging into the issue when TX disappeared from the thread .. to discover that he had, in fact, passed .. I knew Randall was living on a hope and a prayer near the end, as I had stayed in contact with him up until near the end and he was quite honest with me about it .. I would be no less forthcoming with any issue of this type as it relates to myself ..

During that same discussion, I stated, and I am stating it again, that should I disappear from the thread for what some might consider an inordantly long period of time (and keep in mind that I have disappeared in the past for sometimes a couple months) .. I ask that no worry or speculation take place and that even if a worst case scenario is discovered on me, that you celebrate the good visits we've had in the past and not fret over anything .. please ..

There are a few folks here on the thread that have my private email address ..

If you disappear I will miss you. When you pass as we all will I will mourn your passing but I will also celebrate your life. No worries my friend we got a few years years to go before we have to worry about either. Even though we have never met I do consider you a friend in the true sense of the word. I think we share quite a few things in our backgrounds or at least a lot of the same interests, as a friend of mine often says, possibly brothers from a different mother. ;-)

Yepper, it was SteelJan! She got waylaid by some azzhat ......s and she decided to privatize her YT vids and drop off da ECF. There is some info via Google and da ECF. She was such a sweet lady; so helpful and entertaining. Tis a shame...

Jup....I do miss her. Semi, thanks for trying to keep her on. Even if she didn't want to be on ECF I wish she'd still do videos, but again I can understand why she doesn't with the way she was treated. I do like Phil, cuz he'll tell ya anything ya ever wanted to know about it plus another 45 minutes worth of stuff, but he don't usually get too crazy with stuff. On occasion he does. She was interesting, informative, and just plain nice!

I like tequila but, tequila doesn't like me. I'd be dead right now if the big gallute sitting next to me hadn't caught me by my belt as I literally fell over sideways from the barstool at the neighborhood VFW. Doree and my drinking buddies wife helped me up the stairs and when Doree finally came to bed I was on my knees next to the bed with the top half of my body in the bed, fully clothed. At least that's what I was told. Tequila and I parted company after that although I still have a margaritas once in a blue moon.

And when I say well steeped, I mean it. I forgot about it, 'till I read your post. It was from some of the early batches when 1/2 of ECF was trying to get some. I think I only used about 1/2 a bottle of it. Way too strong for me. But it sure did wake up my mouth. I can even throw in another 1/2 bottle of Agent Orange as a bonus.

I think of other mothers with trouble kids and realize how lucky I am.

Oh I know what you mean!!! I thank God all the time that I didn't have to go through what so many other mothers do with their children. Lots of those kids are raised right too, and still end up in trouble. We all do our best, but we all make plenty of mistakes, so there but for the grace of God go we.

Damn I just weighed myself first time in a week or so and I am losing weight again. Now I am 140down from 143.

Dats da wrong direction. A lot of things can account for 3 pounds, hopefully you'll get it back on.

Thanks sweetie!! I think you made a good choice. With all the holiday stuff going on, I'm sure it just plain wears her out even if they don't do much. I expect she'll be back when she's feeling a bit better.

We do get close each other here, and certainly we want to know what's going on when we don't see anyone for awhile. I'm going to ask my son if he would have any problems with me sending one of y'all his cell phone number and maybe his address too. Anything can happen to any of us at any time. If we got no response from a personal email, it wouldn't hurt to have the contact info of one our relatives or friends. This being said, I am volunteering to compile a list of each person's email, and contact info for a relative or friend for each one of us that would like to participate in this. Or we can nominate someone to be the list keeper. But I think two different folks should have it. So what do y'all think about that??

She was a bit of a horder and there are tons of useless junk around but, in the midst of the junk are all the family memories. I found this business card from my wife's great-great-grandmother (at least) that I thought I would share with you. Check out the phone number in the upper left corner.

Me too!! Always kept a 5.00 walmart corded phone handy to plug in whenever the power would go out and the cordless phones didn't work. Still don't have a working cell phone though. I got one that I use like a pda.
