Re Tampa convention today, da absolute highlights were:
- da hug dat Classy ‘owed’ me
- meeting FlowerSoul (Gracie) and her soul mate (Peter), Ken and his sister, Robino and elbakan1 (Carlos)
Classy ‘caught’ me just as I entered and I collected my overdue hug. Then Gracie and Peter walked up from my side and all I heard was “Iffy!”. BINGO, scored my second precious hug thanx to Gracie!
Finally tracked down Ken and his sister (OK, kick me, I can’t recall her name) resting by da venue’s back wall. Ken was ‘fondling’ his new nice wood squonker and his sis kept pulling out dark blue vaping gear. Talk ‘bout a beautiful blue ensemble!
Oh, got to see da MPV Ken did for his sister. for Christmas. Definitely more impressive in person!
Went to let Classy know where Ken was sitting and she introduced me to Robino. TRIFECTA with ‘nother warm embrace! Drats, just like Classy, she also already had a chauffer…
Was ‘bout ready to leave due to a screaming hip and got a c-call from Carlos. He had just arrived. We introduced ourselves and did a lil’ visiting in da lobby. What a great guy! Now I remember why my ol’ Cuban classmate and I got along so well.
Gotta say dat vaping is a grand excuse to meet fantastic folk, or should I say family!
Only spent $6 on tolls and parking (which was a total breeze), plus ‘nother $5 donated to VAPE A VET PROJECT. Oh, and $5 fer a beer (only one, aka rare occurrence!)
Minor lowlights:
Torrential rain on da run up to Tampa. I’ve never seen a harder Feb ‘blow’!
Even though da venue was twice as large as last year, it still was crowded as a school of sardines.
Caramel and honey may taste OK, but da vapor smells like ol’ cookin’ oil!
Had to chuckle at da ‘clouders’ dat would ‘choke’ after exhaling a mushroom cloud.
Bottom line… wish all ya’ll were dere!
