Since we have some reonauts who don't necessarily visit the Reo forum, or at least not much.... thought I'd post this here.
Rob is staying in business, but the Reo forum is closing on the 20th of this month. We've started a new Reo lounge in the lounge area of ECF. Hope you'll come visit us there!!
The Reonauts new lounge

Thank you !!! :)

Thank you !!! :)
yw hun. Scott set it up though. Told him yesterday I thought someone who'd been a much longer time reonaut than me should do it.

But wanted to ask you, can we have more than one if this one takes off? Would be nice to have one just for problems or issues, and if it really takes off, one for newbies or folks thinkin about it to come ask questions. But at least the one for problems or issues if the chat one takes off.

Happy Birthday Gracie!

On a completely unrelated note I have a little rant to spill, inspired mainly by watching the memorial services for Antonin Scalia and Nancy Reagan.

Do NOT put me in a casket when I'm gone! If you choose to carry my remains around, do so only after I've been cremated. Caskets with handles are torture devices for those who carry them.

I believe that some religious practices do not permit cremation, so please just ignore my rant if you find it in conflict.

See, it was just a little rant, now over.

Thanks, Dave!

On your rant, I happen to agree wholeheartedly with you for the reason you mentioned along with some others I have personally. It doesn't offend my sensitivities, or my Catholicism, cause as long as it is consecrated ground, our ashes can be buried..

I liked Badge of Honor. I liked all of em. Especially The Corps!

Kaz, if you have any sort of eReader (iPad, Kindle, etc), I'm pretty sure they're all still available in that format. His characters are great fun, and he does a super job with military history.

Have you read any of the Jack Reacher books? Also good. Formulaic, but good nonetheless. The early ones are best, IMHO :).
They're available for just about any format but, none are free. They don't show up in my Kindle Unlimited and I haven't gotten into the Kindle Free Library at all, don't even know how. Someone here was talking about it but I haven't found it yet. I shouldn't say free with the Kindle Unlimited, it's 10 bucks a month but, at the rate I read, it's a bargain. :)

HaHaHaHa! Yeah, the movies are never as good as the books...

Yeah, I dunno what happened to that guy... he started out okay, then stepped off the deep end.
Scientology..that's what happens when you take science fiction and build a religion around it. :w00t:

I know, huh? I think I should start my own religion too... maybe I'll base it off of Dungeons and Dragons or something... that's just as feasible, right?

I agree. Toast me and drop me in the ocean. I believe the Navy will do that for free. Burials are a complete waste of money and a total rip off. Nothing the funeral industry does is that expensive. It's another one of those things they charge a boatload for just because they can. For those who believe that the bible says that the Lord will cause the dead to rise up and be whole again, it's a simile, the body wastes away to dust in about 3 years even if cremated. When the second coming happens, if God created us he can definitely create us a new body. Save you money, your kids can probably use it. When my Dad died we had him cremated and held a memorial service at the church where his friends got up and told funny stories about him then held a wake/party at the house for him. Total cost around $600. None of the rest of the family had any money so I had to stroke the check by myself. Rant against the funeral industry complete. We now return you to your regular programming.

Nope, didn't know there were books and I didn't even watch the movie. Not a big Tom Cruise fan though, so... meh. I'll check out the books though!

Lee Child and his Jack Reacher books are some of my favorites. I have read every one. And Tom Cruise can't even fake being a 6'5" 250 lb, not pretty, man! I was on a Reacher forum when the movie came out and the uproar!! Oooo, it got downright nasty. But since Cruise bought the rights to the books, he can do as he pleases. Child was not happy after the fact he sold it to Cruise, but the $$ was right. Too late now! But Tom Cruise ain't no Jack Reacher! Not even close!

I love that idea. My dad was a pator, my mom still has his theology books around, I wonder if I can get any inspiration from some of 'em on how to create such a religion. Obviously it will have to include meditaion...
