Even though I had this video uploaded two hours ago, and I knew
@umanbean would be waiting for his favorite song, I wanted to catch up before I posted. Phew! Finally done it, except for the messages that will post while I'm writing this missive.
I just deleted all my email. Not the accounts, just the contents of the main account. I had over 7500 messages in my inbox and of course I was never going to read all of them. I just decided that I would delete em all and hopefully deal with the account a little more often. I didn't set up a throwaway email account when I first got started and you all know that when you sign up for anything they want your email address. Not having a "junk" email account I always used my regular email, yeah, I know, that was stupid but, now my account gets overwhelmed by stuff. I wouldn't call it spam because it's from vendors I use and "follow" but, it's not important either. What I would like to do is set up a separate account for the important stuff and would if I could figure out how to get Gmail to forward what I want to that account and leave the other stuff in my old account. Any suggestions on how to fix this at this late date.
With Gmail, you can select specific incoming addresses and have them sent to a different folder pretty easily. If you're interested and need help figuring it out let me know. Me, I never delete anything from Gmail, not seeing the need to. I might have over 100 unread messages at a given time... I skim through the titles for any I might want to read, then use "mark all as read".
It is the intent involved. Burial of remains implies belief in the doctrine of resurrection of the dead, which is present in most Christian religions. Scattering of ashes implies a denial of the afterlife.
Only if they are scattered.
Catechism of the Catholic Church para 2301. It then refers the readers to canon law which is very technical. Burial of remains in my previous statement also refers to ashes. So it is the meaning of the action-- which is under our control.
That's why I included in my remarks that it was not my intent to deliberately rub against anyone else's beliefs. My Dad's ashes were mostly released over the Princeton NJ Airport fairly recently by a pilot friend of Dad's. Previously, on my way to my 45th HS reunion in November 2014, I took a handful of the ashes and spread them in the memorial garden at a church where my mother's ashes are. I got a good laugh telling my classmates about the ashes that blew back on me in the rain, getting on my black dress pants. I have another generous scoopful of Dad's ashes in a jar.
I was too embarrassed...I just retreated.
Yep, someone actually pulled the alarm.
I don't think I will go to another unless someone meets me at a certain place at a certain time...know what I mean ?
Think about the problems that soul must have to do something like that. Maybe it will make the experience less painful.
For anyone who doesn't have particular plans when they're gone
Liked your wording on that, Janet! Lol. I've willed my body to science. Science is contesting the will.
studies have shown that heart attacks and strokes increase by 24% in the two days following the change to daylight saving time.....In the fall the numbers drop in the two days following the return to standard time. Our bodies do not like having their circadian rhythm messed with...
My mind & body function better in this time period than the other one. The time changes have always been a struggle. I spend that whole cycle exhausted. I'm glad spring is here!
On the bright side, if you make it through the switch to DST, ya got it made on the switch back. Seriously, though, most people feel more upbeat on the sunnier side of the year, which has to do with the length of days and not with what time the clock says.
The time change usually doesn't bother me, cuz my sleep is all topsy turvy anyhow! It mostly just annoys me.
If they knew it annoyed you, they'd change it immediately. Somebody tell 'em Deb's got a frypan.
