Oh, don't get me wrong I'm taking as much with me as I can even if I have to load up the extra bedroom with boxes. The plan right now is to build a small workshop on the back porch. Can't build anything any bigger because it's a townhouse in a development with VERY strict covenants.
We had just gotten down there about a couple of years ago when we put my MIL in assisted living and were cleaning out her house. She was almost a hoarder. We knew that garbage pickup was on Mondays and Thursday but, though bulk trash was on Thursdays. After struggling to get about 20 bags of trash to the curb Doree and I left to run a few errands. When we got back there was a notice that we were in violation of the neighborhood association bylaws for putting bulk trash on the street too early before bulk pickup day, which turned out to be Monday. OK, I said to myself, live and learn and I won't do it again. I didn't go out and move the trash because I almost killed myself getting it out there in the first place. It wasn't 30 minutes later some pinhead in a yachting hat show up and rings the doorbell. I answer the door and he tells me I have to move the trash. I proceeded to tell him how my health problems prevented me from doing it and it wouldn't happen again. He then told me that if it wasn't moved in the next hour they would be forced to call code enforcement for the city. I proceeded to tell him what an f-ing prince he was and slam the door in his face. Luckily Doree's brother came over with his work van and picked it all up a took it to his house for collection.
I post this to illustrate what a bunch of idiots are running the neighborhood committee. There are some good points like lawn service and sprinkler service from the community wells, etc. but, there's a really bad side too.
