Thank you, Mike! It really has been EASY!!! Most of the time we both actually vape MUCH LESS than we sucked on the stinkies. Sure there are days when I'm more like a HOOVER vacuum on the Subvod but there's ABSOLUTELY NO INTEREST in "the stinks" since DAY ONE!

LOL, Von... isn't vaping the most marvelous invention of all time?! You'll NEVER have to be hooked on the stinkies again!!!!

Mornin, everyone! I'm hoping someone has been designated "official photographer" at the Tiki House. Can't wait to see pix!
I'll be taking and posting as much as I can. Never without permission though. You know what happens at the Odyssey stays at the Odyssey! Also gonna try to put together a group hangout for those that want to participate. Lot to ask for just a smartphone but I think I can make it work. Already upped my data plan to handle it. It's great that Verizon lets you change your plan anytime you want. I can up the data plan for a week or so and avoid paying those awful overage prices. :)

Good Morning Porchers! :)

Woke up early this morning and had a chance to read back a bit. Still having my java and all is ready to head out. The day has arrived and can't wait to meet and re-meet(is that a word?) my very special friends!

@Kaezziel Reading back on such a wonderful piece of news! So encouraging!

That is such a wonderful milestone. What an accomplishment to know you've kicked the habit!

Save some awesome hugs for me please!!And be careful out there!!!

That is very similar to mine! The base where the wheels are is different.

You'll love it, Kay! You can adjust the height, the tilt of the top, & the 'lean' of the height. They are very handy!

Holy moly! I could understand Von Vape doin' dat wid his cabin fever each year...
You are SO right! That's about the only way to keep your sanity "up here", through the Winter. One of the BIG reasons for rampant alcoholism here, "not that there's anything wrong with that!" (Seinfeld)
The 5 hrs. of daylight from sun up to sun down and the cold DOES take it's toll  :|

Asparagus is zone 3.
Most excellent! It looks like we're in a "zone 4b". We're almost directly due West of the dot where Anchorage is, on the other side of Cook Inlet. Now if they'll just poke their heads out of the little starter pots and it will quit dipping into the low 20's over night, we'll be good to go! It looks like the weather will permit us to harden them off late next week.:thumb:

Morning all. Up, moving (barely) and looking forward to the second and final part or my journey to the Odyssey. Looking forward to meeting so many of my friend who, so far, I only know online. Actually a little nervous. Don't think I need to be but, you know how it is. Wish everybody could be there but, also know that it's a bit of a journey for some. Don't think Van could make it in a day!
I know exactly what you mean Matt. You only get one chance to make a first impression (and that works BOTH WAYS people!) so meeting "new" people is always a little "sketchy" (for me anyway). Everyone seems to get along so smashingly though, that I'm sure it will be AWESOME!!! And ya, even with these new fangled jets it's 12 hrs. at best and could be as much as two full days from here. :( LIS, I'm hoping this will become at least an every 5 years thing. ;) :)

PRICELESS! DO post what you "can" (and what "the censors" will allow! ;) )

And thank you ALL for your support on the 60 day mark. We BOTH REALLY appreciate it!

Do they still grow monster veggies in the Matanuska Valley. Seen those cabbages in a wheelbarrow. Something that is pleasant about 20 hours of daylight. And where I was it doesn't really get dark just dusk for a little while and up pops the sun again.

Better or worse than here, Legs, depending on the time of year. Used to be times, before I retired, that I'd go to work in the dark and come home in the dark... but only for a few weeks, this far south!
