Yes, new to the back porch. Just found it. I am sooo old I fart dust... I will be 61 this week!
Welcome Dan! I was 61 last October so don't feel too young.

I actually thought strawberry rhubarb pie was an Amish dessert or just generally to be found in the east, kinda like scrapple or tomato pie.
It was in Lancaster PA I had strawberry rhubarb jam. So good! I had the pie long ago. My x MIL used to make them. She is in Texas..

My birthday is this week, too. A famous old road.
Several birthdays coming up this week. In case I miss them :bday:

Love pomegranate seeds! You may know already, but when you cut it up, spoon the seeds into a bowl of water. The pithy stuff will float and an be scooped out, leaving only the seeds.

There's a much easier way to remove them, and none of the pithy stuff you're referring to. Cut it in half.....hold the half over a bowl and wack it with a heavy spoon or other implement.....there are several videos on YouTube showing how easy it is. The seeds will pop right out...;)

that's raw oysters, not okra. If you're not real hungry but want the taste of raw oysters just buy one and tie a string around it thereby enabling swallowing and retrieving as many times as necessary.
Yo-yo oyster's.

Printer? I got one of these a bit over a year ago. Got Wifi? It is wireless and no problems. I even got a free app and print from my Kindle Fire to it, which Amazon says cannot be done.
If you want higher res color printing get the HP 4520. I have another HP I paid like $40 for 10 years ago and it still works fine.
Wife went thru 3 Epsons in 10 years ...

Thanks Robert ... just took a look at it ... not bad at all. I've always liked HP printers, they've served us well over the years.

Do you know if this one will print black text even when a color cart is empty?

Well, couldn't like that post. Sorry to hear it {{{Russ}}}. Keep an open mind and talk to everyone. You never know when something you might not even expect will turn up. Maybe this will give you a little space until you're all healed up.

Yep it will print with only either one. I am printing with a dead color cart right now as my new carts will not be in till Wed. They are in Chattanooga now according to tracking.

I use it for making copies more than printing from PC.

Like I say if you want higher res color get the 4520. Just another $5 I think.

Anyone buy a printer recently in the $100 price range that they're happy with. Looking for one that does duplex printing and will still print black text pages even if one of the color cartridges is low/empty. Had a printer once that wouldn't print black if one of it color cartridges needed replacing.

and I haven an Envy 5536 that I paid $120 for... It works great, and you can even send your prints to it through e-mail.

Taken this morning at high zoom, with a pocket camera, through a not particularly clean window, from about 40 feet away, so not a very sharp image.
I'm still 80 messages behind, but has anyone mentioned persimmons and pomegranates in the food discussions?

Is that a Peliated Woodpecker? I'm sure that's not spelled right. Haven't seen one of them in 35 years! Cook birds!

There really are a few good people out there......Dog was barking his fool head off, looked out my back door and there were two men clearing off the snow on the landing and ramp I have, down to the parking lot !!!! Told me that even their little snow blower couldn't do anything with all the hard packed snow in front. Said it's the same way all over, but.....they promised to dig out my front door tomorrow so I can get mail delivered....

See, there really are snow angels!!! That's fantastic!

And in other news... Have I mentioned that I like 3D printing? In case I didn't...
I like 3D printing.
This week, I found a solution for my PureGuardian vaporizer.
the table next to my bed is higher than the pillow, and the nozzle that comes with the device shoots the vapor up.
I wanted it to shoot out instead.
Not satisfied with just a nozzle, I've created one that I can change the look of at a whim.
So far, I have a starfish and a fluffy tailed rat for decoration

I can just turn the thing where I want to aim, and no more dry throat in the morning!

I'll ask him what kind of woodpecker he is the next time I see him. I won't tell him you want to cook him.

I was thinking Red-Headed Woodpecker but haven't done any Googling.

Excellent solutions, Ken! What do you put in your vaporizer?
