There are noise ordinances. I call the apartment line & they send our Courtesy Officer (local LEO's) & they pay a visit, then they get a follow up call from the Management to let them know they got a noise or whatever complaint & a warning. If it's a fight or something like that I call the police.
I had an officer come by this morning to ask me about a disturbance next door last night. Sorry, officer, I took my hearing aids out and went to bed at eleven. I slept like a baby.

My spice experiments of the past year have made turmeric a staple. The salmon was delicious to me.
You must like yellow food! ;)

Thanks, I downloaded it and will read as time allows. I enjoy a good horror book every now and then.
I've read 3 chapters now, and I increase my recommendation level to "you won't regret it. Top-notch story, excellent writing."

Yepper, I use turmeric fer homemade yaller rice when I don't have saffron. Like da flav; plus it give da rice da color of breakfast buttered buns...

Actually, the color is the only thing about turmeric that doesn't particularly turn me on. I can't taste color though.

Uh, does it matter??
You have delved down and plucked the essence of the truth.

That remindss me of a funny mystery series of books i've read. The main character's sister carries her little dog around in her bra. They are Mennonite.

Tell me you spoke with him in Cajun-ese .. ;)

No, I didn't, but last night, I did use Cajun-ese on some visitors from the U.S. Marine Band. My daughter wanted to kill me.

I had the distinct pleasure of being an usher last night for the concert presented here in town by the U.S. Marine Band. I am still reeling emotionally from that performance. I can't begin to describe the superb music that I heard last night from these seasoned musicians!! My daughter said they were better than the New York Philharmonic orchestra. All I know is that I enjoyed it thoroughly!

After the concert, we went to the home of the director of the Lafayette Concert Band and had gumbo and all the fixings with some of the members of the band. The visitors had never had gumbo. Yeah, we had a great time!!

So far, not too bad here. Areas near Charlotte NC and Charleston SC, a good ways west and southwest of me, have already been much more affected. It has rained for 12 consecutive days and it's expected to be 14 straight days before it takes a break.

Wow, Dave. That looks like the road leading to my friends ranch in E. TX. His was 1½ miles of loose sand & clay. When it was dry we'd risk getting stuck in sand on the curves. When it was really wet we'd slide all over on the clay. The kids had a ball with their atv's & 4X4 trucks, but it made it hell on on anyone else. Oover the years the county gradually filled it all in with aggregate mixed with lime. Much better, but you have to hit the car wash & get it off the undercarriage before it dries & turns to cement.

And really care about each other. Makes me happier every day I found you all when I did. Wish I had jumped in sooner. Luv each and every one of you!
We're so glad you found us too!! luv ya back!!
I'm thinking my love for vinegar goes deep enough to get down to the dna.
possibly. My sil craved pickles and all things vinegar for about 2 years awhile back. Couldn't get enough. Is this a recent thing, or has it increased recently?

Here's a good article about what's coming this weekend regardless of the darn hurricane. We're gonna drown here in the Mid-Atlantic states. Anywhere from 5 to 20 inches of rain depending on exactly where your at. We've already got towels tucked in front of the sliding glass doors just to catch the water that's blowing against the doors and filling up the track.

Haven't seen the latest, but hopefully this thing will continue turning seaward. Everyone stay safe! Prayers for those in the path of horrendous rain and flooding.

I promise that I will be totally professional and that I will aggravate them in the most professional way possible. :pervy:
Sorry the meeting was such a bust, but glad you spoke with the supervisor. You can still aggravate them in the most professional way possible, don't need a meeting for that!! hehehe

50W istick arrived and the batt was charged saweet :D
Kewl! It's very sharp, glad you're liking it

Nice thing is she is leaving the area alone so we haven't needed that stupid elizabethan collar
Glad she's doing well and still loves you! lol Very glad she's not messing with the area. The cone of shame is no fun

It's great that you're experimenting with different things, and getting into cooking healthy meals for yourself. Long as you love it, that's all that matters.

Sounds great!

Lost some other quotes I wanted to do, but love all my porchers, and hope everyone stays safe and has a great weekend!!
