My wife always knew I liked cats. She was attacked by a cat when she was in high school and needless to say, did not like them. Anyway, on our 10th anniversary, she gave me a cat, a mixed breed long haired Persian. Nancy named her DC, her reasoning was cute kittens turn into **** cats! Last night while getting dinner together, my daughter stopped and ask what was wrong with the cat. I looked over and she was all stretched out on her bed not breathing. She had laid down for a nap and didn't wake up. 17 years is a nice long life for a cat. This morning I took her remains to the local animal shelter and donated unopened food and litter. I am heart broken. Isn't it silly how we get attached to our four-legged children?
Diver you have my deepest sympathy. My animals are part of my family and I have lost several over the years, I know how great a loss this is. I am truly sorry for your loss but, you are entirely correct, 17 years is a very old cat. I am sure you'll miss her.

Diver, I know I'm repeating what others have said, but it's absolutely not silly. They're a part of our lives and we're extremely lucky to be able to share in their lives. They're with us all the time they're here, but they're also with us after they've moved on and will be with us until we've done the same. Always there. I've lost a few dogs, and a number of cats, and it's always heartbreaking, and NEVER silly. Always remember, 'cause they're still right there with you:)

not exactly a recommendation as I haven't used them.....I don't have TC, but I do love my nautilus tanks and these coils can be used in them....

Has anybody bought anything from Sweet Vape. Also a coupon code would be great if there is one. I am seriously considering buying a Aspire Triton Tank with a 5 pack of Ni200 coils. Thanks in advance for your opinions and the coupon code if there is one. :)

As you all can tell by the time I am obviously having a little trouble falling asleep so I thought I would get up for a while and visit with my friends here, or at least catch up. Going back to bed soon.

I've forgotten the problems you have with getting to sleep.
Stress , sleep apnoea ?

Most antidepressants all they do is make you sleepy.

Wow!! That's a hella rain! Dave, I do SO love the place where you live. That's where I'd like to be....some place away from nutty neighbors and town.
Shoot, you shoulda seen my path before I hired a neighbor to do a lot of work on it with a backhoe in the past 2 weeks. It's in better shape than usual.

The UPS driver has been afraid to drive down the last slope this past week, but three straight days I had UPS deliveries, and the driver drove down to where I stood while shooting the video, then walked to my house before backing up the entire 800 winding feet of my path. He could have come down and turned around in my side yard, as usual, without getting stuck, but he chose not to try it. The deep grooves from the backhoe's tires make it look more treacherous than it actually is.

I have nutty neighbors, and my nutty neighbors likewise have at least one nutty neighbor, but the acreage provides a very nice nuttiness buffer.

I echo what everyone else has said. Pets become part of the family and they take a big chunk of your heart when they leave. The Rainbow Bridge is one of my favorite poems. My Spock went over the bridge last December, peacefully at home with me like your beloved cat did, and I am thankful he passed that way and I did not have to make the decision for him. Peace to you, gone from your life but never from your heart. {{{{{hugs}}}}}

This actually a HALO jump. High Altitude, Low Opening. Thought the thought was pretty cool.
Can't say enough how much I love this!!! Soooooooooo want this on a t-shirt, poster, everything!!! Was watching Jeopardy with my son the other day and they had a ? about Chris Kyle.....not one of em knew the answer, including the current champion who's had a runaway each day and is looking like he could be another Ken Jennings. So sad.

Good Morning All!!! Hope everyone has a great day!!
I'm awake, but I'm not happy about it! This day time schedule does not agree with me!

Ratty, so glad your father is home. Are you planning on moving in permanently and rent out your own place?

Diver, your wife was a very loving woman, to put away her childhood fear and give you a cat. I remember when our Sashi (lab) died. Life goes on, but we often have empty holes in our lives and hearts.

Awww, she snuck away. I'm sorry she's gone, but it sounds like she was ready to go just went. How like a cat not to let you know she was leaving.
