I'll tell ya all, I feel that have gotten so much more out of this group than I have given. Anytime someone is hurting, feeling down, or just out of whack everyone comes together and lifts up that person. Thank you, one and all. I feel very privileged to be a part of this group. Thank you. This is a photo of DC taken back in '09.

Hello everyone! Just a flyby. took me all morning just to catch up and now I have to go in and shower and get the day going.

Diver, so sorry about your gorgeous, beloved kitty. 17 years is a lot of happy memories. It's not silly at all to feel so bad when they leave us.

Kay, good luck on the new digs. Hope it turns out to be all that you're hoping for.

Ratty, so glad to hear your dad is home finally. Now you can all relax.

It's so nice that Mike enjoys my cooking, but I definitely think our daughter has surpassed me. Yay!!

Matt, I was wondering how Abby was doing. Glad to hear she's coming around nicely.

My prayers are with you all with the deluge some of you are experiencing. I started to panic when we heard about the hurricane back home, but fortunately we have great neighbors who are looking out for our house. Doesn't sound like we're going to get the kind of rain you all are having south of us. We're just having a couple of gloomy days here in CO so we're very lucky. Stay safe everyone!!

Morning porchers!

Yah I know...what the hell am I doing up so early?!

Well, in a couple of hours my GD is taking me to check out a new home, I'd set the alarm but as usually happens, I awoke way before it went off! So now I'm dawdling around waiting:)

Sure hope i like it....it's a mobile home in a 55-over community ( no ignorant parents with heathen kids!) , lotsa wooded areas, a couple small ponds, with a country atmosphere, clubhouse with a pool and small library. If they don't play Euchre i'm sure i can get em started:D

Hope all of you have a great day and stay dry and safe!
Just make sure it's got a nice blank wall. :)

The amazing thing about Abby and her surgery is that she hasn't even linked the site of her incision. Not that I can see anyway. I sure am glad because I know she would hate that elizabethan collar. :)
As it heals it may start to itch, so don't turn your back on her yet. She may ignore it unless that happens.

Gotta run... please y'all wish me luck with my new venture...sure hope i like this place!
Good luck with your new venture, Kay!

The Food Lion grocery where I do my grocery shopping has upscaled a bit since my last visit a month ago, and I approve! They now have grocery-store-type prepackaged sushi, with little packets of the hottest dang wasabi I've ever had in my life. Scrumptious!

Well, I finally got down to DMV and got my license reinstated today. I haven't driven since Dec 29 2012. I still have no vehicle, though. That situation might be remedied by this evening, because my neighbor is driving me to Raleigh to go used-car shopping. I'm looking at various older Subaru Forester models on Craig's List. There's nothing in my neck of the woods but there are many such vehicles in Raleigh.

When I had Tasha spayed she never bothered her stitches either. That is a nice relief, she would have freaked if she had to wear one of those collars. I do have a soft one that holds the neck so they can't bend to lick those parts, but even that would have freaked her out.

I am glad Abby is not bothering her incision and feeling better. She will heal much faster! Don't let her fool you with feeling good - no jumping until the stitches are removed.

Dave...it appears as tho you're safe from the horrible weather!

Matt....glad your animal is doing good....and yes, I have a wall all picked out!:)

Just got home a while ago...my Gd took a "nap" when she got here after work this morning and we finally went to check out the place around 2:00 and then went for a bite to eat. She's taking a nap as she has to leave for work around 8:00.

I'll try to put up some pics of the place that I took...it has a nice size sunporch!!!!! Tho I failed to take a pic of the living room:eek:...but my furniture and the "star" of the room will fit nicely.

Oh.. I should know by tomorrow afternoon if I got it.

I like it! Lots of windows, covered parking, back patio area. It's got so much going for it. Pretty awesome! Crossing my fingers you get it!
