speaking of wine......bought myself a box of cabernet yesterday........the spigot won't work.....
An inexpensive wine may turn out to be a very expensive single glass.....as the only way I'm going to be able to drink it is stab the thing with a knife over the sink to catch all the excess......![]()
Being a Box Wine Aficionado (BWA) .. I have had this issue once .. I called the Vintner (and I use that term loosely) and they provided a coupon for a Free Box .. I then removed the bag from the box, cut a tiny piece of a corner off, carefully filled my tumbler, pinched the corner closed with one hand while inverting the bag, twisting it around and tying off with a bread tie .. the idea being, allowing as little air as possible into the bag .. reverse process to fill another tumbler .. I think it took about a week for me to tell it was getting dull .. with any wine, even a bottle that's been opened, it usually can last at least several days to a week ..
Your other option would be to invite the Upstairs Neighbors over, cut a hole and pour into pitcher(s) and Party Down ..
