I will confess, I have no idea what anyone is talking about, but I truly am trying to learn!
half the time we have no idea what we're talking about either, so you fit right in, and we're so glad to have you here!

I can understand that. Doree and I have gotten into Friday night movie night but, there hasn't been much good on pay per view until very recently. We dim all the lights and turn up the sound in the home theater system and watch a movie complete with candy and popcorn. Really is nice.
I have a really good Pioneer sound system with surround sound and a 50" plasma TV. Most enjoyable.
that sounds wonderful! My dream house definitely has a theater room, I love movies!!

I like the forum, however, I think it is more the people that are special. I love all of you.
we love you too hun, and are so glad you found us!!

No, a horse is a horse of course, of course. :)
beat me to it.....love that theme song.

Then to our usual dessert spot at Steak n Shake.
oh man, I do miss steak and shake, loved going there when I'd visit my half sister in Indianapolis when I was a teen.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Waking up hundreds of miles above the Himalayas, astronaut Scott Kelly broke the U.S. record Friday for the most time spent in space with 383 days.

Kelly is more than halfway through a yearlong mission at the International Space Station and will eventually set a record for the longest single U.S. space mission.

The statements about Scott Kelly are correct. I don't know whether you need new glasses. Hint: this is not Scott Kelly's first trip to space.

Here's a bit of video from one of my two Phantom 3 quadcopter flights today, at actual speed since it's only a little over 1 minute of video, uploaded at a space-and-time-saving lower resolution.

Near the end, you can spot a couple of my neighbor's horses. No, not up there, silly! Look on the ground!

Not a dedicated home theater just installed in the living room. However, I did take the time to do it correctly. Wires in the walls and ceiling so you can't see them. Advent speakers for L/R, center and back speakers with a good 12" subwoofer. It's the Pioneer receiver that makes the system. Doree gave that to me for Christmas last year.

Bells, did you see where the Department of Transportation is talking about requiring all drones be registered. It's in response to the few idiots that have been flying them in restricted areas and close to airports. Nanny government strikes again.

Yes, I keep up with what's going on regarding potential regulation by the FAA. It's been an active subject for the whole two years that I've been flying these things. One crash of a airplane or helicopter caused by a drone would be one too many. Some regulation is needed.

Phantom quad copters like mine have built in databases of no-fly and restricted zones. The motors will not start up if the quad is in a no-fly zone. If you enter a no-fly zone while flying, the quad will land automatically. You do get a warning when you get within 100 meters of a no-fly zone. In restricted zones, altitude is limited to 400 feet. The same altitude limit applies if the GPS is in contact with less than 6 satellites.

Only a matter of time till we have a quadcopter terrorist event.... Humans are pretty worthless bits of excrement sometimes.
I know of one that's already happened. In Japan, somebody dropped a quad carrying radioactive material onto the roof of the Prime Minister. No loss of life but the payload was dangerous.

The article says the radioactive sand was in too small a quantity to be dangerous. When I heard about the incident back in April there was more alarm about the level of radioactivity, or I was wrong, take your pick.

Good morning, Porchers!

Matt, unfortunately that looks a lot like my breakfast and dinner. Nowadays, meals exist in order to take pills. At least it makes me eat more regularly.

Kay, if all else fails, you can do what I do. Have a bunch of boxes ready. And, at the last minute just start throwing everything that's left into boxes. Hey, it works.

Lol Teresa!
That's just what i have in reserve!!!!Brilliant minds think alike;)

Thanx, just hadn't heard of dat incident.

As fer picks, think I'm gonna pick myself a 'nice' capable 'unregistered' unit and dollar up fer a 'smart' phone (and possibly a 'learner' quad unit).

Then maybe we could do a gray market 'nicotine quad express' to avoid da Feds when dey crack down on both <delete dis post and triple reformat/scrub your hard drive after reading dis post!>!

In your experiences, do you recommend a built in camera or a Go-Pro compatible mount? And yes, I'm serious...
