Some have said that if there are not pictures it didn't happen. When I make a soup I like it to be a hearty soup. I also made my Mother's secret recipe cornbread. I think we will have leftovers for a couple days.

Looks wonderful! I love making pots of hearty food. It's often better the next day and I love having it in the fridge for lunches or dinner for days. Soup always strikes me as being very healthy too. Our old landlord told us about Portuguese soup. He said they'd throw whatever foods they had into a pot and it would just keep cooking and they'd just keep adding meats and vegetables as they had it. Whatever, I've never had a recipe for soup, just general ingredients and whatever else I had on hand.

Sounds like Mulligan Stew.

There are packaged soups that I consider good starters. Bear Creek is one I use a lot. It has basic seasonings to which I add what strikes my eye in the fridge or freezer.

A long time ago in a galaxy far far away, I hung out at rodeos. We made "Rodeo Stew". Everyone would bring something. Meat, veggies, beer, sauce, whatever - it would all go into the huge stew pot on a wood burning, constantly tended fire. End of rodeo we would eat it. Never the same twice, but always good.

Who needs it more is not the point of WW's. Need is the point. If they rank who gets helped according to some formula to figure level of need I will stop donating.
I don't want money or anything like that. I just want a few willing bodies to help me finish the last of the stuff around here so we can get the heck outta here b4 Christmas. ;)

@bigbells you know what is weird about these prosthetic legs is you don't really put much pressure on the ends of your stumps. The way they build them is the side actually take the weight and when they do the amputation they leave a flap of skin and meat at the end and fold it over the bone and sew it together making a built in pad but all the pressure is on the sides of your legs so when your legs get skinnier you go to far down in the socket and put more pressure on the end.
I have a female friend (girlfriend has too many connotations) that has 1 leg missing and we were staggering out of a bar one night across the parking lot when her leg fell off. Interesting evening to say the least.:w00t:

You'd like this warmer vape Matt. Maybe you could "conversation" me your new address and I'll send you a meter of it and give you instructions in a conversation but it is just like we used to do Kanthal before we had the coilers. Really easy to work with and will work on your temp control device. Wire Wizard will give the temp you use. You have Ni mode right. And that's it?
Correct. And the wattage just sets to 40 and stays there and you can adjust the temp. If I find I like this TC stuff I'll most like get something better. Oh, by the way. Guy from Innokin told me that they've got a Disruptor coming that does TC and wil use the same batteries. Don't know what features it'll have and I consider it and the Istick low end mods anyway.

Donations help pay for trips, camps, therapy, & travel for the organization d those who do need it tho. Just call them & tell them whats going on. My nephew goes out on calls for WW all the time. For a strong back, or ptsd, moving, transportation or whatever the need is. Even helping family of a Warrior who is unable to do it themselves for any reason. The idea is to always be there for ypur brothers & sisters. Leave no man behind. EVER.

Today was my birthday and I spent it doing absolutely nothing. Sheer bliss. All three of my children called to offer birthday greetings. Yesterday, the three grandkids brought me a frosted pumpkin spice cupcake with a candle on it and sang happy birthday. (Not on my diet, but everybody needs a song on their birthday.) I took a bite and let them finish it. They were happy, so was I. I did drive to Publix to pick up some prepared food for dinner (not cooking). With this birthday I'm sorta feelin' like I did when I walked over the bridge in Brownies and became a full-fledged Girl Scout. It's as if I have crossed some imaginary line into old age...the beginning of it, anyways. BTW, that's not a bad thing. I'm honored to have reached senior status.

When I was nineteen, my eighty year old psychiatrist heard the story of my life. I asked him, "So what do you think? Am I salvageable?" He said, "Statistically speaking, you should be dead."

So here I am, defying statistics.

It sounds like you feel the same about birthdays as I do. They never meant much to me when I was younger. But, the older I get, the more meaningful they become and the more I cherish them.

"I'm honored to have reached senior status."

Exactly!
