there Porcher's and Porchette's. . .

BEEN ONE OF THOSE DAYS. Had to have dad at the dentist at 8:00 which meant I had to get up at 6. Got ready to walk out the door and put my reo in my pocket and found out I had my britches on backwards. Since I lost some weight, I don't have to zip or unzip to put them on so I made a mental note to check next time.

Dentist asked if daddy really wanted to get his teeth cleaned today since he had been through so much. Without missing a beat, I told the dentist I had to get up early and he was going to do something to him before I left. grrrr

A 3 band-aid fall yesterday and a scuff on the side of the head fall today. He bought a new blower with gutter attachments today and was cranking it and lost his balance. (yes, there goes another gray hair on me) Sheesh (and I only have gray hairs on the top of my head so by Christmas. . . I should look like Pepe le Pew) But long story short, gutters are clean.

Does anyone know how you keep a 82 year old man down. Anything short of using duct tape or being arrested for elder abuse. Orange is NOT the new PINK.

bahahahahahaha

 Hope everyone has had a wonderful day. (and your britches on right) heehee
Sympathies, but not much that you can do till he goes downhill more... If you can enjoy the time you have he won't be around much longer.... You will miss him and his antics then....

It's great that he's that mobile but, maybe time for some less physical hobbies. You really don't want him to stop doing but, maybe stop working like he was 40. Good luck on that one!

Ever notice that no matter what post you go into there is always the same 5 or 6 curmudgeon sitting at the end of the bar .....ing but not doing anything about it. Most of them being g ex officers that should know better. The faces may change from post to post but the personalities don't.
Whether ex military or not .....ing is a favorite pasttime of curmudgeons.
Can you imagine how bad some of the complaining young will be when they get old?

From another perspective, your Dad is my role model .. there are actually some of us that have to accomplish something on a regular basis .. should I be so lucky at 82 and it ain't all that far off in light of the theory that "The Older You Get, The Faster Time Passes" ..

I suppose if pants were made with a zipper on the front as well as the back, it would make some things so much easier .. ;)

Remember when Candy Crush was all the rage .. ?? These new games are junk ..
Dang, I hate the new cell phones, why do they make them into a Contact Lens these days .. ??
I wish I still had my old Prius .. now that was a car with some real power ..
Remember when humans used to work at McDonalds .. ?? That robot constantly messes up my order ..
Oh, snap, my inheritance is almost drained dry ..

Yep seen it many times. When he gets where he can't do anything he will not be around very long...

I have an idea to make even a better coil with this NiFe if it works I will let you know. It seems to get better the longer you use it. I can't tell the diff in the flavor between my Ti coil and this stuff but it is just too easy to work with there has to be a drawback right?

that is sort of like my Brother. Got up one morning and told my niece he felt better then he had in a long time. He volunteered to take one of her friends home then stopped at the bank machine got some money to go gambling and have a few drinks with, pulled away from the stoplight had a heart attack and died, he was 83 smoked and drank all his life.

Tiger Blood in his veins and dad up his nose no wonder he looks so good.

When I put cremation in my Will and my "Do Not Resuscitate" paperwork, I nosed around some on what to do with Cremated Remains .. since, I really did not see having them handed off to any of the few people I have left, as it might be a cause for consternation .. ;) .. there are actually quite a few alternatives .. there is a Company that will turn them into a diamond, another that will mix them in paint and have a portrait done, another that will make them into the lead of a pencil, mixed into tattoo ink, pressed into a vinyl record, molded into lead for bullets, launched into Space (expensive, especially if you want Earth Orbit or a Moon Launch) .. and more .. really ..

However, my selection is to be made into a large firework and launched a la Hunter S. Thompson ..

So, in retrospect, is Keith snorting Dad all that odd .. ?? ;)

This isn't really about vaping, so I'm posting it here.
It's a little lesson on how useful it can be to test proof of concept using a 3D printer.

I was looking at my vapestand this weekend, and wanted to see if there was a way to expand it. Going up would mean that I couldn't easily accomidate the taller items in the back.
So I decided to see if I could make a hanger for the individual units.
I made a test hanger... no luck. made a change and then it worked correctly.
Here is a close-up of the changes I made
vapestandhanger.jpg

Basically, I wanted to make a lip that would catch at the top.

this test worked
image_8.jpeg

took me 10 min to print each test.

The result. As you can see, the new hangers are strong enough to hold a PV

and a close-up

Yeah, it's silly of me to be proud of something so basic, but it kept my mind occupied without getting me into trouble this past weekend.
I know this is going to be very durable. A couple guys at our flying club make frames for racing drones. They really take a beating and keep on flying.

Personally I am looking forward to the day after Thanksgiving gumbo tradition. (I use the turkey carcas to make the stock).
Oh man! I haven't had a good gumbo since my wife was stationed in SE Texas.

Out running errands today, may stop by a b&m while im out and mess with their heads....start asking noob questions, let them try to "educate" me, then pull out my heavy mod and chuckle.
