This rain keeps coming up from the South. It has the whole Mississippi River valley covered. I think it is going to be at least twelve hours of continuous rainfall.
Fixing to cover it on the local weather. Be careful it looks really nasty!

Oh, and I forgot to mention it weighs a ton. If you drop it move your foot quick or you might break a toe or two. (Funny but, close to the truth. Heaviest mod I've ever had.
It's kind of amazing the thought process that you go through when you drop something and your foot is underneath. Can I move my foot in time? Is it going to hurt more if my foot is moving, or is it better to leave my foot right where it is? Is it something that won't hurt, but which my foot might cushion and prevent damage to the item? Am I wearing shoes? What kind of shoes? Will a sudden movement hurt my back/knee/hip, etc?

All this within a fraction of a second.

I'm waiting for Legs to weigh in on this. :)

Corollary: the similar process that occurs when you know you're losing your grip on something and you're deciding whether to attempt to catch it or get out of the way and let it fall.

Well that was different. Loud bang outside. Power goes out. Look outside the front door and the power pole by the road is on fire. Neighbor sticks her head out and asks "Did something happen?" I point at the pole and she starts taking pictures LOL.

Things are repaired and power is back on now but the worst of the storms are yet to hit. A Lot of water with this storm.

Yikes! Was it lightening strike or did a transformer explode?

It came via DHL you should have gotten an email with a tracking number. Yours should be there anytime now. This thing is built really well. A Milspec vaping device, who'd a thunk it? ;)

Off to check email, thanks! :thumb:

Is dis in reference to body part replacements earlier discussed? Do ya do backs? I need a spine.

Ya just might have a new customer base here... as long as ya don't rush and will wear diff scrubs (patient gender dependent).

Willie, great to have ya back participating!

One thing I learned a long time ago is that if you drop a screw or bolt or something small but important, always watch it fall. That way you'll have a better chance of finding it when you get down from the ladder to look for it.

That is so cool, they put your name on it! I'll start stalking the mailman, waiting for mine to get here! I wonder if it will have "misswish" on it, lol.
You could probably bet on it. That's what took em so long. I ask about them and that's what Ash said the delay was.

Dave,

Got da JJRC H8D quad copter yesterday. Didn't have much time to exercise it due to my porch time last night and changing a soldered on-board backup batt in a GPS/charter unit fer a buddy of mine. But did get da QC off da ground 'bout two feet (thank goodness fer YouTube; enclosed instruction manual absolutely sux!). Need to 'trim' it to be more stable (yeah, I know). Too windy (up to 25 kts) today to give it sum fresh air. Can't wait 'til I can monitor sumpin' other dan da carpet. Grass blades would be a welcomed change of scenery! A tree top vid would be a dream come true...

Kinda proud of selph in dat I've restrained selph from purchasing sum really kewl ancillary stuphph (ie FPV) and modiphication parts. Will wait 'til I get my 'pheet' ophph da ground.

Just keep pumpin'/pimpin' your QC vids here! I luv 'em...
