Oh man the annual fall cold has turned into bronchitis. I haven't dealt with this garbage since I started vaping. I forgot how miserable this is. Saw the docs got the meds. Can't vape it just hurts too much. Spent most of the day curled up under a blanket in my comfy chair. Think I will spend most of the night there too. Just too weak to do anything.

Oh, I sure hope you're feeling better now!

It went very well! Only 3 sticks to get all the blood, & the steroid injection. And a new source of infusion funding at 100% that will allow me as many infusions as I need for a year, instead of funding limiting me to 2. All I have to do is take my proof of SS income per month & she'll get it started for me.

That's great news! Congratulations! That's got to be quite a load of your shoulders knowing you can get the infusions you need.

Finally, somebody noticed ... ;)

I like this avi - suits you! And I noticed right away, I just wasn't here to say so!

A tornado just passed a mile or so north of us, damn sirens, don't they know im sleeping?

Last stinkie 10/15/2013

Sheesh! Yep, you'd be the one making the evening news - Man Sleeps Through Tornado, Wakes Up In Bucksnort, TN.

Nevermind, the link didn't work.

By the way I go see my cancer doc at 11:15 for my 3 1/2 year checkup results. I'm sure I'm still cancer free but a little prayer probably wouldn't hurt. Thanks.
Back from the doc. Still cancer free. Great news but, I kind of knew. Wasn't worried at all. Thanks for the prayers though, can never hurt.

Thats FABULOUS news! Even when you know in your heart that all is well it's still a relief when the doc says it out loud. You should sleep well tonight!

I actually slept last night! Needed it after the weekend with the Boy Dog. It knocked all the pain back enough that I didn't wake up everytime I moved. I handle the injections so much better than the pills & IV's.

So glad you slept well last night. I had a hole in my rotator cuff and for several months the pain woke me up every time I moved. Took a year to finally heal. Can't imagine living with it all the time. I wish there was a magic elixir I knew of to give you relief.

Sometimes, something warrants noting, and this particular something is note worthy .. and, I don't think I've seen it posted, which I think is odd, so here we go ..

The supportiveness, camaraderie and general wish for well being that permeates the threads since thread one has been, rarely, if ever to my knowledge, pushed to a real life example .. at least until the recent past .. and those that lent a hand in this should be recognized .. however, since I have not asked their permission to use names, nor do I know the full extent of the story, I am simply going to tell what I have pieced together ...

During a Hang Out session, one of our own here had a Medical Emergency .. thru the quick thinking and actions of others in our fold (I'm unsure whether it was one or two folks) .. an Ambulance was able to be dispatched and rescue our fellow friend .. all of this unfolded on camera as the Hang Out session stayed live ..

Now, I don't know about you, but this fortuitous simple twist of fate needs and deserves recognition .. in fact, it's a 6:00 News story as far as I'm concerned .. I sincerely hope that those involved step up and tell the tale in greater detail and take the bow with which they have earned ..

How the Fates converged at just the right time in order to bring these folks together VIA ECF, then lead them to a fairly obscure thread, then lead them to the Hang Out and end up at EXACTLY the right moment in time with which to witness and act on a Medical Emergency has to be a billion to one odds ..

So please, step up, tell the whole tale and take your place at the head of the Table .. please ..

No wonder Mike kept asking me if I'd been to the back porch today! We had Miles all day so I was quite busy. The little guy was such a joy today, but boy does he keep us busy! So, I gotta say how impressed I am with the actions of some of the members in the hangout, but I'm not at all surprised. We really do care about each other and are willing to step up to help each other out and the actions in the HO proves it. I'm just glad the emergency happened while in the HO. Willie, I think the award you created is perfect!

Never had that happen, but have had the trash thing happen. Even when I was driving commercially,I always had a bag in the van just for trash. It irked me to no end to see people throwing trash out of their vehicles.
My son used to get irritated at my bag of trash in my car. He threw it away once. He was even more irritated at the floor covered in trash because I no longer had a trash bag! I will not throw trash out the window, period. However, I would occasionally throw a cigarette out the window when the ashtray was full and I didn't want to start a fire in it.

I'm bone whipped now. My body is screaming for the bed, and I'm quite ready to oblige. Good night all!!
I hope you got a good night's sleep and woke up free of aches and pains.

OMG! Can't vape?! Hopefully, you'll just sleep through it.

Yay!!! But, sorry about the 3 sticks. The last morning I was in the hospital, four nurses tried for an hour before they could get my blood. They had worn out all my veins already!

I don't know where all my quotes went. But, . . .

Matt, congrats on the confirmation that you're cancer free. You KNOW it until the appointment gets close. Then you start to think 'But, what if . . . ?' So, now you know for sure!

I learned not to make 200 ml of my tiramisu at a time. That last 30 ml or so was turning very, very dark and started getting overly gunky. My fresh batch is nice and clear (well, transparent brown at least). And, it tastes so much better! So, maybe I don't have to reduce my flavor percentage after all.

The outside world is really upsetting me these days. Between terrorism and the FDA. I just want to hide my head under the covers.

Dave,

Got da JJRC H8D quad copter yesterday. Didn't have much time to exercise it due to my porch time last night and changing a soldered on-board backup batt in a GPS/charter unit fer a buddy of mine. But did get da QC off da ground 'bout two feet (thank goodness fer YouTube; enclosed instruction manual absolutely sux!). Need to 'trim' it to be more stable (yeah, I know). Too windy (up to 25 kts) today to give it sum fresh air. Can't wait 'til I can monitor sumpin' other dan da carpet. Grass blades would be a welcomed change of scenery! A tree top vid would be a dream come true...

Kinda proud of selph in dat I've restrained selph from purchasing sum really kewl ancillary stuphph (ie FPV) and modiphication parts. Will wait 'til I get my 'pheet' ophph da ground.

Just keep pumpin'/pimpin' your QC vids here! I luv 'em...

I really pheel a sense of accomplishment in learning to use Windows Movie Maker to make more entertaining (read: shorter) videos. Please keep us posted on your quad copter triumphs and (nearly inevitable) disasters.

Hope you are feeling better now.
Slept most of the day. Actually managed to eat a little something tonight. Then right back to sleep for a couple more hours. Found that if I vape unflavored low nic in a very low vapor production setup I can vape just enough to keep myself from going nuts.

Stop over doing! And let us know what they say, Roto. I hope they figure it out quickly!

I have three discs that are bulging. Two of them are very minor, and one is bulging enough to press on the nerve, hence the numb hand. We have discussed Vax-D therapy, which scientifically makes a whole lot of sense to me. However, my insurance company won't cover it, which is really vexing me. How in the hell can they pay for invasive surgery, which costs a hell of a lot more, with more down time, and not pay for a procedure which is non-invasive and very little down time?????? We're working on that. Plus I need to talk to my primary care physician about this nodule on my thyroid. Some more cacala!!

Back from the doc. Still cancer free. Great news but, I kind of knew. Wasn't worried at all. Thanks for the prayers though, can never hurt.

Yay!!! That's awesome news.

I don't often quote myself, however ...

I am forthwith and permanently implementing the Following Award, bestowing the first to those that had any hand in the above scenario .. Be it Now and Forever Known, to all that Reside Here In .. Formal Ceremonies to Take Place When and If The Parties Involved Choose to Reveal Themselves ..

View attachment 506740

Will you personally present said award to recipient in Florida next April? ;)

Perhaps your new avi is scaring them off, Unc. ?

It should never be about a pretty face, but the kind of person behind the avi......Willie was, and still is, a favorite person of mine long before I ever saw an actual pic......:)

Well, you know what it is, & you have insurance! You have a plan going, & all of that is very good! We can do this, Roto!

Well gotta hit the sack.
Have to go and get some plywood and stuff first thing in the morning and build a wheelchair ramp so I can bring the wife unit home.
Still moving some furniture and such around too.
Yay! Coming home is good news! Do you know when?

This is a very interesting hero story to this newbie, and I hope to hear the whole thing sometime...although I may have to ask directions to the other porch or the hangout - whatever that is :)

That is just great Matt !!
