Sending a reply or even acknowledging them only cause more to magically appear in your inbox. Actually it's not magic as most spam these days is sent by bots and any sort of reply just tells them that have a valid email address. The unsubscribe feature in the microscopic fine print at the bottom is supposed to work by law but, as they say, good luck with that.

One of the emails although they probably all do it, when you delete them they just go away not even in the trash.

A quick Saturday afternoon 'hi'

Hubby and I are just about finished with housecleaning, and right now I'm too pooped to pop, so am spending the rest of the day on what God gave me to sit on!

Not to be argumentative but if you check your spam inbox I'll bet it's full. Mine is. Most mail services these days have great spam filters. They go into the spam mailbox and they say check there if you didn't get an expected email because although good the filters aren't anywhere near perfect.
The only things that show up in my spam folder are Paypal scams, political crap, online Rx offers. I check it & clear it everytime I log in.

Great to see that kind of support! They recently opened the Former Texas Rangers Heritage Center in Fredericksburg. They are going to have chuck wagon breakfasts and dinners on the weekends....Cowboy Church on Sundays. It's nice to see the Texas Rangers honored!

Happy Vapeversary! You deserve to celebrate!!!!!

They have a center & museum in Waco, too. That whole area is packed with retired Rangers. I'm so proud of my uncle, I can remember when he was a junior in high school talking about his plan for the future. He did the whole list!

Oh yes! Gush away! 2 years is a great milestone! Good for you! You deserve something special to celebrate! I just hit 4 years on 9/1 and Mike's is in November. We've celebrated so much we have quite a collection of devices, tanks, tips and holders. Sure beats a collection of ashtrays!
Congratulations Janet!

a bit weedy here, but for once, I managed to get the colors the way I actually see them in real life.

and you can see that the bush in the back of the hedge is getting a bit leggy. as well as the weeds in front

Garden090515B.jpg

and actually, this is NOT a bush. It's bluebells

I do not garden between 11:30am and 3 pm.

so after 2 hours, I managed to trim the bougainvillea, but here is the more drastic transformation

Only one planting bed done... Don't think I'm gonna get everything done today I wanted to.

Mostly, I ignored the 3 species of bees buzzing about, and none stung me, but they LOVE the cinnamon buttercups!!
That's beautiful, Ken!

Watching the XFinity race on NBC at Darlington. Tomorrow night at 7 is the Southern 500 Cup Race. Finally back on the correct weekend. The Southern 500 ran on Labor Day weekend ever since Nascar started and all if a sudden a few years ago they changed it. The fans were livid. Now that it's where it should be maybe attendance will get back to where it was.

really? When weekends are the only times I have time to do anything? who could you possibly suggest that I get to do it?

That is when the dizziness hit, and my hat started to drip sweat. Sat in the chair on the porch for 10 min – drinking cranberry juice… finished cleaning up… now gonna cool all the way down and go take a shower.
As a single parent of 3, I learned a long time ago that it doesn't all have to be done, right on time, all the time. Do the best you can. But, don't push too hard, or you won't be around to do it later.

That's quite a bit to take tend. I'll send some of our deer herd to you. They'll take care of it - no problem. Janet used to plant tons of seasonal flowers. But a few years ago after spending quite a bit on plantings plus the labor - 2 weeks later it was all gone. Now she just keeps potted plants on the back deck.

When we moved 'here' 30 years ago -- there were hundreds of undeveloped acres around us. That's been all developed and now deer population has exploded because there's less hunting. So it's not unusual to take a walk and see deer grazing in peoples yards.

The beautiful T-111 front door complete with a small sampling if the wonderful yellow stucco.

By the way T-111 is a type of plywood siding made to look like much more expensive board on board, it doesn't.

Yikes Matt! That's just weird - never heard of covering a door w/ T-111 - that's just strange.

Nah, that's 1978. And of course total adversity to change!
Oh, and every door in the whole development is the same, at least all the condos and townhouses.

@ken, @matt

My garden is so full now that it doesn't have that flowing look to it anymore; just a thick mass of color everywhere. Time to not just prune, but cut them down drastically!

Peter's veggie garden did OK, but not the best this year.......he was able to keep the deer away with the fence he built, but our yield this year was minimal......I think there was too much rain!
