Oh, they're perfectly capable of finding their own job, thank you very much, but chances are you're not going to like it:(:w00t:
I think most herding breeds are that way, and will herd anything they can. Belgians are the same. Tasha herds me to the kitchen at mealtime. Of course, what she considers mealtime is not always correct ;), but I can tell her "it's not time yet" and she will go lie down, for a few minutes. Herds me to the door when she wants to go out. Herding breeds were bred to, well, herd! I love 'em all!

?? you take what the market gives you.. ie,, my BMY calls banked +500% yesterday.(they hit x10 at 1 point -but I missed it). yeah I took the money and ran and will buy in again at some point......but a win is a win in my book .. quite a few stocks are still coiling,, so what isn't popping today will be popping in a few days.
That's really fantastic! I'm in the process of educating myself about puts and calls before I start doing anything with them. My understanding of them at this point is zilch. I did good with Bank of America but the gain was more than offset by losses on Apple, Amazon and Google. I think I got buy low sell high switched around for a while there.

I'm 3 years short of having been around for that last one, but I'm one of the younger folks here.... younger than quite a few, that is.

You got to be in California.

Here's a bunch of 4-leggeds that want to be hopping with you.

I had a cat that never lost a game of tetherball. Iffen I warnt lyin', woont that be just as good as a dog that could unwind?

Hours of work and $65 were spent larning me to create the illusion of having a telephoto lens on my drone. Next time I fly near the horses, I'll use the knowledge and the software to get some close-ups.

Very cool! How does that work?

I select the area of the frame that I want to keep. The software gets rid of the rest and enlarges the kept area to the full size of the frame. It's the same principle as cropping a photo except it's cropping about 60 photos for each one second of video.

If it would interest you, Colin Woodard wrote a book about this that is still used today in campaign strategy; it's a result of the migration patterns. Woodard expands and updates the theories in Albion's Seed. It's worth the read for both the American history and cultural insight.

I just loaded the Kindle sample. Thanks from me, too. Will read that sample and fill out an interlibrary loan form.

Arggggh....I truly hope that whoever was contracted to replace the water mains on my street is not being paid additional money for the do over and over that has been happening right outside my front door... This project was to have been finished by October... I am beginning to lose count of how many times they have dug it up, patched it....came back.... repeated.... and now the giant jackhammer machine, backhoe, dump trucks and other construction equipment is out there digging it up again, shaking my apartment and making my dog go crazy with barking...:-x

Pick a date, anytime in the future, for a celestial event and it will be cloudy or even rainy here. Never fails.

Don't think PA is alone in that! Heck, here in western WA the forecasters talk about sun breaks, scattered sun, sun showers.... you get the picture!

In all fairness.....I did turn around one evening and start barking back at him....;) It was the most effective tactic I've ever used on him. He was so startled, he just shut up and sat silently staring at me....no doubt wondering if I had finally, totally lost it...

My sister that lives in Colorada has had Austrailian Cattledogs for many years. Those are great dogs, too. Very quiet, very watchful & protective, but not aggressive. Very sweet dogs & don't require a lot of exercise, but they are up to it when needed. Hers herded the kids, & still does when they all come home, until then then herded chickens.
Yep, great dogs!

CONDOM USE ON AN AIRCRAFT
A man and a woman are seated next to each other on a flight. They start eying each other, and both realize they want to do the same thing. He slips a condom out of his pocket, and she looks delighted.

Rear toilet? He suggests. Five minutes, she agrees and goes off. He waits five minutes, then goes and slips in there with her. Right, get that condom on, she says. Soon, they are both sighing with pleasure.

But a sharp eyed stewardess has noticed them, and realized what they are up to, So, she humiliates them by making an announcement over the PA system. "To the lady and gentleman in the rear toilet, we know what you are doing, and it is expressly forbidden by airline regulations.
Now, please put those cigarettes out and take the condom off the smoke detector."

And what were you thinking?

I worry about you sometimes!
